Did anyone buy the new Tubrose solids??
There are ten of them and EL went back and copied some vintage ones , changed the names and finish and filled them with Tubrose Gardenia.
Example-Golden Paisley was originally the sunshine necklace.
List of ten–Paisley, counch, acorn (the white one),seahorse( bigger and different color),starfish( different stones)vintage(jewelers treasure),bird, sea urchin, signature(Empire)shell((golden seas). The whole is called Private Collection and all are filled with Tubrose Gardenia.
I only bought 6 out of ten. The bird is my favorite.
Anyone want more info my email is–clarkannm@bellsouth.net

Am dying to see some photographs again! Having withdrawal symptons right now and hope that the pix can be included in the text as none of us here can get into the members' photos!
Thanks!
Last Wednesday Bergdorf Goodman and Estee Lauder invited customers to see all the new items at the Estee Lauder headquarters in New York City. It was a very special, one of a kind event. I have been to quite a few Lauder / department store events but this one is really the best one I have ever attended. All the items were displayed in Estee Lauder’s office and her granddaughter Aerin Lauder showed us her Tuberose Gardenia collection and other new items like make-up bags, soaps, candles etc. She is very nice and approachable and really excited about her new collection. At the end of the event every guest got a gift bag with the golden and blue stones Tuberose Gardenia solid perfume compact and a bottle of ‘Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lifting Serum’.
On Monday morning this week Aerin Lauder opened the boutique at Bergdorf Goodman and I bought the sparrow and seahorse solid perfume compact . The sparrow is pretty big (about 2.5in. or 6cm long and close to 2in.or 5cm high) and cost $150.00, the seahorse is priced at $100.00. The boxes are also different in color shiny gold and light to middle blue. Even the labels are gold and blue. Most solids are between $125.00 and $200.00.

Many thanks to Ann and Ken for letting us know about these solids from Bergdorf Goodman in New York. Also thanks to the rest of you for your posts as well. I am glad Bergdorf has some exclusive solids…it reminds me of the “old” days (before 2000, I can't remember the year they stopped doing that) where they had exclusives which no other department store carried. Now that was a solid collecting treat for me to experience! <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> I am happy for you Sabina and your wonderful experience with Aerin Lauder. Its my understanding things of that nature do not happen on a regular basis. Good for you and good for us on this message board because we now know what happened. Say isn't there a saying that goes something like “knowledge is power?” <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

Thank you for posting the beautiful pictures and the comparisons!
This is how the site used to be! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
Dear Ann and Ken,
thanks so much for the pics.
You made my day.
Guess how many I will have to buy???? <!–emo&<_<img src='style_emoticons//dry.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’dry.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />and this is for my husband, as he will have to pay them all <img src='style_emoticons//mad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’mad.gif’ />
Take care,
BrigitteWhat a great opportunity you had with EL Sabina, you are so lucky. I really think that is how solid collectors should be treated. I love the new solids, and the prices seem reasonable. Ann & Ken, your pictures are outstanding as usual, thanks so much for them. You made my day, I only wish I had a husband like Brigitte to buy them for me!
One question, and I do not wish to be shot down in flames in mentioning this point!
Why are Estee Lauder copying the old designs? It seems very strange to me
that the older ones which I have in my cabinet are now being repeated, albeit
with slight variations! We have two Harrods Palaces. One with the baguettes and plynth, and the second model, a cheaper version (same price) without the plynth. The first
version, IMHO, far superior to the second release! May I add also for the new collectors,
make sure the plynth is included if you are purchasing the first Palace. Now there is a copy of the Jeweller's Treasure which was released in 1974……albeit colouring is different.
The Sparrow reminds me of one which I see often under another name (which escapes me for the moment)……….
etc. etc.
I dread the thought that the Imperial Princess, etc. etc. etc. will be brought back from the ashes too!
Apologies for the note of dissent………but………??
Ann and Ken…….Thanks for posting the pictures of the new T.R.G. solids, I love the look of the sea anemone….is it as spikey as it looks…. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> Also is there a lot of difference between the older version jewellers treasure and the new one ?…. <!–emo&<_<img src='style_emoticons//dry.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’dry.gif’ />Hi Jacky……I think the same as you, the older version of the Harrods Palace is the best and to my mind it was the best solid that E.L. ever produced….. <img src='style_emoticons//wub.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wub.gif’ />
Margaret…….
Sabina……Sounds like you had a good time at the E.L. event. Lots of nice goodies as well….. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />I wish we had things like that, but its a 6hour plane ride to N.Y….. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />
BUT……if they would send me an invite……I WOULD GO….. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
HAVE SUITCASE WILL TRAVEL…. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
