Everyone – Caution – Fantasy Flower very fragile.
In an attempt to straighten the silk cord it was hung over a lamp wire. When taking it down I picked it up by the top of the cord and to keep the flower from swaying held it with my fingers under the back and placed the thumb on the center crystal. To my astonishment it came apart!! ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)
The silver center section with the tendrils that have the crystals on the end came completely loose. On examining the two pieces it was found the silver behind the center crystal was only glued to the flower! Have you ever seen two pieces of metal that were successfully glued together?
I was handling the piece very carefully as with all my solids. While it is a beautiful flower I would not be comfortable wearing it and needing to be concerned that it might fall apart at any time. It is going back to Saks tomorrow and I will let you know what transpires. Hopefully this was just an isolated incident. Hope no one else has this problem.
