    Hi All.

Love seeing photos of new themes on the home page. It gives me some enthusiasm (which has been lacking of late) to add new solids to my collection.

    Thanks

    Annette 🙂

    Thanks Jacqueline.

I have been thinking about this board too lately and how I have missed all the chatter about the new solids. The likes and dislikes, especially Lisa's detailed descriptions and photos.
Being in Aus it is hard to see some of the solids in person, and I really enjoy reading about others ” up close and personal” with the solids.
Before finding this site i was totally in the dark about solid perfume collecting and never knew about all the other solids available out there. I love reading about every ones finds and purchases .

I would hate to see this board not here ,for all Lisa's hard work to be gone.
I don't have a lot to offer but I'm am very grateful ,for the valuable and informative input from others that have such a depth of knowledge of solids and collecting.

    I love that little sleigh.

I think christmas is my most favorite time of the year.

Being in Australia I don't get to experience the “White Christmas” but it is a dream of mine to get to do it at some time in my life.

    Thanks again for sharing.

Hi all, boy it has been a while since I've posted anything.
I guess I'm a lot like Queenie I love anything minature Solids, dolls, trains anything that small and with such fine detail just amazes me. Solids are so pretty to look at when the are displayed.
So I guess my reason for collecting solids is ,beacause I just love them.!!!

    Sorry Sandra,

I would like to meet up with other collectors but am very shy about meeting new people . It's sometimes daunting talking to people you have never met face to face before.

    I didn't mean to ignore your post and I do like vegemite sometimes. (if that counts?) <!–emo&<_<img src='style_emoticons//dry.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’dry.gif’ /> <!–emo&<_<img src='style_emoticons//dry.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’dry.gif’ />

I have just discovered the “zoom” in button on the left hand corner and had a great deal of fun zooming in close to everybody's home. Wow so far from everybody , but when you see it all in front of your like that I feel much closer.

Thanks Jack and Lisa it makes people seem “real” when you see their little flag on the map.

Ar, no kangaroos around here either,
However about 6 years ago I lived in Katherine a small town 300km south of Darwin and in the dry season there were plenty of kangaroos on our front lawn of a morning munching away on the green grass.
We also had lots of Frilled Neck Lizards, Goannas ,and the large Moniter Lizards walking through for a feed too.
I guess if you don't live in the cities your chances of seeing our beautiful native animals in the wild increases. There is not much natural habitat for them to survive in the cities.
I love the Koalas too they really are a unique animal.

Yes Sandra Newcastle is a big adjustment. Darwin is such a laid back way of life now I'm in the big smoke.

    I am finding it pretty cold down here but hopefully warmer weather is on the way. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> .

The kids think its a big deal 'cause they get to blow “smoke” out of their mouths some mornings, having competitions on the way to school to see who can blow the most.

I'm sure we will make the most of Newcastle while we are here and Sydney has such lovely places to visit.
Who knows how long we will be here for and where we will be next .
It's starting to get a drag moving around so will look forward to the day when we can put roots down. Where and when that will be who knows? <!–emo&<_<img src='style_emoticons//dry.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’dry.gif’ /> <!–emo&<_<img src='style_emoticons//dry.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’dry.gif’ />

I haven't been to the movies for a long time in fact the last movie was the new Star Wars movie. I enjoyed it and thought it was very sad.
I just watched Ladder 49 on DVD I had been waiting ages to see this movie and wasn't disappointed .
I usually wait until the movies come to DVD before I get to see them as going to the movies is usually reserved for special occasions.
