    Dear Sandra,

I just read your eMail for the first time and I am so upset about it and disappointed 🙁  I wish these people could understand how damaging this is to the collector like you.  They would never understand until it would happen to them.  It’s too sad. I’m sorry this happened to you.  I had a similar incident during Las Vegas convention.  My Violin solid was stolen from the hotel room.  Hotel refunded one day stay but it did not replaced the value of the solid.  However, I bought in the following years two of them in two different colors.

Congrats on your New House, I know how it feels to own place that is new for your new dreams…be crreativitive and enjoy!

I did seen on eBay all of the solids you are missing, I would search for them periodically as they are still searchable even if they were sold years ago.

    My very Best,

    Galina

All of the collectors who attended Annual IPBA Convention in Princeton, NJ had a great time.  The convention was well organized and we had a pleasure to meet collectors and vendors from France, Switzerland, Germany and Australia.  I took some pictures for you to see and enjoy.

Beside Estee Lauder Solid Perfumes and powders, I am also a big collector of vintage powder compacts and I had a great Joy to see of how many collectors who shared the same passion during the Show Case presentation.  Of course, I left the Convention with two amazing vintage compacts and two Estee Lauder Ivory solids in their original boxes.

Thank you to all IPBA organizers for this amazing Convention!  I am looking forward to the next 2018 –

    Hi Sandra,

What are the solids that you could never get your hands on and are you still looking to find them?  I am just interested to know!

Do you have any prototypes in your collection?

    Dear Debbie,

How are you?  Just to let you know that in 1982 Estee Lauder introduced the Aramis solid cologne for men.  The compact was made in 24 K gold-plate in shape of a match box, I know that Roselyn Gerson featured this compact in her Book Solid Perfume Compact Collection 1967-2001.

Now I have to go there Galina and call you a lying BITCH! Why do you ask? Well because in order to list a book on Amazon it has to have an ISBN number and mine do not. For a supposedly educated woman your pretty damn stupid. Go check for yourself. Check the Amazon rules. I knew this before I published MY books and knew I didn’t want to list them on any site that required an ISBN. Your getting a little pathetic now.  I mean really this is a bit much. Either sue me or ###### the ###### up already. Also I don’t care if they remove me from this website. You want to know why? Because I can just join again, and again and again. You really are stupid aren’t you? Ha!

What do you mean I make no sense. She was given the info by ebay and had 10 days to bring legal action. She didn’t!

I am impressed, very “intelligent” – of course dear, Amazon requires an ISBN and this is why your books were removed and you could not do anything about it…

Again Galina, Why didn’t you go through the correct process? You had ample time to do so. Stop playing the liberal card trying to coerce others into doing something you can’t or won’t. Stop hiding behind other people.

For the last 10 years I have been researching and learning about Estée Lauder collectible solid perfume compacts. During these years I have met many dedicated collectors. These are collectors that are spread out all over the world. Collectors look for any and all information about these beautiful compacts but there are a very limited number of resources for this information. I have only found a few good resources. One of these is the previously published book listing all the solid perfumes from 1967 to 2001, there are some websites that are run by collectors and eBay.

After thinking about it for a long time, I decided to create an educational book that will bring the collectors needed information on the Estée Lauder solid perfume compacts from 2002 to the present 2015. Now the collectors will have a reference to see what they want or need in order to complete their collections. In this educational guide you will find the name of the solid, the scent it holds and the original cost of the solid when it was released.

Book is in the process of printing. It will be ready to ship by May 8th. You can order on eBay or Etsy, or send me a message.

Everyone has Google on his/her iPhone or iPad these days – So why, in this day and age, would any author dare to plagiarize from the work of another?  lack of intelligence or common sense ?
