Hello everyone,
as most of you know, on my homepage
my homepageyou can click lots of different collection types, f.e.
To keep these sites updated I need your help.
Often you will see items listed with “Issued” 0 or 11 or 3001. This may seem strange to you, but these are items I either have myself or I copied pics somewhere, but have no idea of their year of issue. I gladly part my knoweledge with you, but of course I'm not omniscient at all.
PLEASE BE SO KIND AS TO SCAN ALL THE CATALOGUES OR BROCHURES
you might have and send them to me in order that I can improve these sites.EstÈe Lauder used to issue catalogues for their employees in the dept. stores in order that they could see in advance which items would be issued next season.
I have those from 1973 and 1976 to 1982 and thanks to a collector friend scans from 1983.
Here come samples of what I'm talking about:
CATALOGUE 1983 PAGES 2 & 3
CATALOGUE 1983 PAGES 8 & 9
E.L. also issued brochures or prints for their customers.
In order that we all have more precise details of the E.L. items
PLEASE SEND EVERYTHING YOU EVER CAN SCAN!!!!!
Please be so kind as to add EstÈe Lauder in the reference of your e-mail, as I don't want to loose or delete any because of the lots of spam I always get.
If I don't thank you within 2 days, please e-mail me again to ask whether or not I got your mail.I hope I will be showered with mails.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO WRITE “ESTEE LAUDER” INTO THE REFERENCE
as I always get a lot of Spam.
Thanks a million for your kind help and have a great day,
Brigitte
Brigitte, will keep this in mind now I have some free time. I look to you for information so I doubt I will have any which you do not have. Either way,
thank you for your wonderful site……..<img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
Brigitte,
I scanned your powder compacts (the only ones I really have experience with) and found that you have a LOT more knowledge than I do!! (what a surprise!!) <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
I will keep looking around though, and see if I can't help in some way – sometimes I see items in “off the beaten path” areas, and even a date can be helpful sometimes!!
Thanks for all the work you have put into your online collection!!
Lisa
Hi everyone,
I've reactivated this post hoping that some of our members can be of help.
I still appreciate all the help you can give me.
Last time unfortunately there was very little echo and I must admit that I was disappointed about that.
I always try to help and respond to questions when I can, but
I SIMPLY DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING about the E.L. solids and powder compacts.
Now I'd appreciate very much if some one could give me all the names of the Harrods Teddies from 2001 to 2009, as I'm not 100% sure about these names.
Thanks to every one of you who can be of help,
Brigitte
Hi Brigitte. I would love to help, but the only one I know if for sure is Rodney, 2001. I will look in my files and see if I can help <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

THANKS A MILLION FOR THE BEARS NAMES!!!!!!!!!!!! <img src='style_emoticons//rolleyes.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’rolleyes.gif’ />
My list is complect now concerning Harrods Bears names.
All the help you ever can give me concerning this topic
(Please read the very first post!!!!)
is still wellcome and very much appreciated.
Thanks and take care,
Brigitte
<img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ /> Hi Brigitte – just letting you know that I am also very grateful to have you as part of this site – you're always very friendly and optimistic, always willing to help with your wealth of information and your fabulous site that you have put together over the years and continue to grow!
It's such a pleasure to have you around on this site !
So THANK YOU, right back !
Hello Brigitte, Apologies but I must have overlooked reading the post you made regarding the bears!
Thanks Chowlover for the information. I have all the resin bears which match the solid perfume bears and I was trying to sort out the names a week or so back!!!!
Brigitte, I can only repeat what Sandra has written and say a huge thank you.
You must know how well respected you are and how much you are appreciated, even if at times, there appears to be no echo!!!!!So am echoing this and previous comments loud and clear…… <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
Thanks for the “flowers” as we say here in Switzerland, but I wasn't fishing for complements, but begging for
BROCHURES ETC.
and I still hope that there are members out there who could have some paperwork that I don't yet have. <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />
The brochure site will have to be updated, but please be patient with me as at the moment I only have little spare time.
Take care and please send all the information you have <img src='style_emoticons//unsure.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’unsure.gif’ />
Thanks a million, Brigitte
Hi everyone,
I just want to reactivate this topic……maybe there is some one out there who could help.
Also does any one know about a powder compact with the following description out of an E.L. list:
Round compact with fine golden lines meeting at a point in the center.
Thanks and have a wonderful day, Brigitte
Hi everyone,
does anyone of you eventually have the following box?
I only need the box as I have plenty of these solids without their boxes.
This was issued in 1976.
This solid was first issued in 1974 and had a different box which I already have.
If someone can be of help I could give the 1974 box, even with it's outer box, in exchange.
It goes without saying that I'd pay both shipping fees to and from Switzerland.
Thanks for your help and have a wonderful day, Brigitte
Brigette-
I'll be sure to keep you in mind re the brochures as I receive information for the solid perfume book I am working on. Would scan copies assist you?
I would love to have that box also! LOL! I'm in the same boat with the older Estee's. I have the solids, but not the original boxes. I think many of us have found that to be true in collecting the older EL's. Funny until I started collecting, I never thought about boxes things come in. Now I hate to throw away any boxes!! LOL! I tend to carefully open all boxes for anything I think might be collectible to someone someday! The collector bug has bitten!

Brigitte – The only “Round Powder Compact” of recent release I can find is the one in 2007 – The “Estee Lauder Signature Compact.” Retailed for $115 here in the US. Has lines to the center (photo shows alternating braided lines and smooth lines) ending at a dark blue center cabachon (sp?) with another smaller cabachon for the latch.
Supposedly “On-Counter” 8/3/2007.
Dear Michele,
thanks so much for your response.
The one I'm looking for must have been issued in 1995. I have this description out the old “Estée Lauder list”. The title of this list was : Estée Lauder powder and solid perfume compact history. It was an archival List and dated 1999. I got it from another US collector. I must admit that this list, according to my own researchees, wasn't always correct, therefore I don't know if this compact really was issued and that's the reason why I'm asking here.
