Suddenly there's a rush. The covers go on, the players disappear, perhaps they will play later……

Margaret
Just part of the immense charm of the Wimbledon tourney. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
Go Andre. Make the last one one to remember. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
Yeah – bummer . . . but glad we didn't have to stay up again all night to watch!
I tell ya, this world sport is killing us over here – we ain't getting any sleep! Wimbledon is televised live from 10:30pm – 4am with no replays or updates during the daylight hours.
So, Wimbledon will be backlogged again due to no play. Call the rain off, will yer? <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
Hi All,
What a day for tennis! Agassi, Henman, and Murray through. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
After yesterdays rain, it looks as though we are in for some good weather over the next few days.
Or have I spoken too soon! <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />
Either way I am glued to the television this week.
Elly.
P.S. Love the poem Margaret. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
Hi Elly….. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
Don't say a word about the weather, or it may rain again….. <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />
Good to see that Agassi got through, its going to be his last Wimbledon…. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> so sad to see him retire, he has brought so much entertainment to the game over the years.
I have never been a fan of Henman's, just don't think he has it in him to go much further.
Glued to the television as well….. <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ />
Margaret
You never know with some players, Margaret! I hope he surprises everyone and plays well for England. However, I think he has a tough second round opponent . . . !
Well I suppose we knew what would happen today at Wimbledon.
Poor old Tim….. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />
I must say I am not a fan of his either Margaret, and as much as Tim tried Federer covered every shot and white washed him.
I laughed when John McEnroe said that Tim had aged 6 years on court today,I honestly don't think he is up to standard of all these up and coming players, and is NOT a Wimbledon winner.
Although Andy Murray is only young he is not like Boris Becker was at the tender age of 17 winning Wimbledon, so I think Andy has a long way to go too.
Maybe it is the lack of support and money, that we have no players coming up through the ranks like other countries who have colleges for sports.
Shame but there it is, I won't start going into the politics otherwise I will be here all day, but poor old England is not what it used to be!
Elly. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
Hi Elly….. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />Yes the match was a forgone conclusion, Federer is twice the player that Henman is and as we say 'he wiped the floor' with poor old Tim.
Is'nt John McEnroe a good commentator, such a good sense of humour… <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
I would love to see Andy Murray win a few more matches, he's a good strong player but as yet I don't think he is up to it mentaly.
Lets hope the weather holds over the next few days.
Margaret
Yeah, we love getting John out here to commentate too – he is quite a funny guy.
Well, glad to hear the weather is clearer for some matches to get through, sorry Henman is gone, but he has to get seeded to avoid facing top players in the early rounds. I have always thought he played well but lacked any sort of big weapon where he could do damage.
Whooo Hoooo <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
Go Andre. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ /> Great win over Seppi today. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
Hi All,
Wasn't that just fantastic Don and Margaret, I have always loved watching Andre Agassi, from the very start he always had the personality and drive that made us Brits take to him as one of our own, and look at the standing ovations he has had, that is why he loves Wimbledon.
Wouldn't it be fantastic if he could be a Wimbledon Winner, on his last year here, lets get that magic dust working, its a long shot, but the crowds will be with him all the way.
Elly <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
Hi everyone…… <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
What a super day at wimbledon….. <img src='style_emoticons//cool.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’cool.gif’ />
The sun stayed out all day and dear old Agassi WON….. <img src='style_emoticons//wub.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wub.gif’ />
Nadal ( what a hunk ) came back to beat Eendrick who put up a good fight.
So I think that it will now be Nadal against Agassi, it would be wonderful if Agassi won, the crowd will be behind him all the way.
Margaret
Hi All,
Take back what I said Margaret about Andy Murray, wasn't he a star today, lets hope that he manages to finish the game in style tomorrow!
It should be a good match Saturday betwen Agassi and Nadal, I know who I would like to win!!! I remember when he had long hair and baseball cap <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> .
It must be the Vegas in me as to why I love Andre, John McEnroe said he runs up and down a hill in Vegas, I would love to know where that hill is………….anybody has any clues????
I have been there several times and I haven't seen a hill, must be going to the wrong places.
Well my housework is not being done………..so what!
The weather is beautiful, Wimbledon is on, and England play Portugal on Saturday………..my decision is what to watch <!–emo&<_<img src='style_emoticons//dry.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’dry.gif’ /> , I think Wimbledon comes first and I will record the match <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
