Does anyone know what company made these solids? Also, what's the name of the design? Thanks.

    Greyhound,

The second photo is “Cupid's Arrow” by Max Factor. Michaela posted photos of a lot of the Max Factor and Corday solids last February under the Non-Lauder section (which is now the General Discussion section). I don't remember having seen the other one.

I have just edited this post as I have now found the heart on Page 85 of Purse Accessories, 'Roselyn Gerson'. Somehow I always thought this solid was a Schiaparelli and as I am unable to check mine right now, am wondering why I was under this impression.

I agree, the heart shaped solid is Schiaparelli.

Thanks BMW5 but why is it listed in Roselyn's book as a Max Factor? As mentioned before, I cannot check mine to see the name, but I am more than positive it is a Schiaparelli. Do you have the book I am referring to, OR did Max Factor also bring out the same design (which I very much doubt)?

    Jacqueline,

I do not have Roselyn's book but in the past I have had this same solid and it was my understanding that it was Schiaparelli. Sorry that I don't have anything more concrete.

Schiaperelli made a solid very similar to the heart, but I don't this it had an arrow. I always confuse the two. I just purchased a solid perfume whistle. Is that a Max Factor as well?
