Continuing from ' Daisy …..Advice re the beautiful girl with the Straw Hat and the Rowing Boat' ………..
oooo—ooooo—oooo
And so she Kissed the Frog turning him into Prince Charming (or so she thought)!
She really helped and nurtured Prince Charming to gain confidence and grow in stature from his shy retiring days. His need for her was so great that she put him before all others denying herself so much in her selfless cause.
As the story goes, he professed his undying love and promised to be with her for ever and ever . They even began to set up their beautiful Palace which sat opposite a beautiful lake and she searched the world to find priceless items (which she could ill afford) for their new home. But unbeknown to her, the wicked witch was hovering in the background casting her spell. She was intent on having Frog (Prince Charming) for herself and in the process was causing havoc with his mind and soul! For deep, deep down, he was a weak and troubled Frog who had not yet found his feet. He was still caught up in their web and as such could not see the enticing lilley pads before him!
He then looked to a therapist to try and discover what was troubling him. But the therapist would just sit and listen, and listen and listen (as this was a good way for her to pay off all her debts) and did not dare to question Frog's heart and actions for fear of losing such a lucrative patient.
And sad as it may seem, he dumped the beautiful girl from the rowing boat and unwittingly broke the spell of the Wicked Witch (but maybe not).
In his confusion he had turned his eye to someone else. But, he did not know at the time that she was the Devil Incarnate and so the story begins…….
Although she could not swim, the selfless young girl who was dumped from the row boat, leaving her straw hat behind did not drown.
She had such a pure soul and though shocked at Prince Charming's dumping of her, she fell backwards into the water and saw the nice looking young man turn back into a little green frog.
As she spiralled downwards in the water, her lovely long hair released from a tightly rolled bun and flowed around her. Her clothes shed off her and her legs melded together producing a lovely long tail. She reached the bottom of the lake where an opulent oyster was waiting to be opened. With little effort she opened it and took hold of a beautiful large pearl.
She realised her fortunes had changed all for the better and was glad to be released from the burden of kissing the frog (bleck! <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ /> )
But her heart was still heavy and the tears still welled up in her beautiful eyes as she loved Prince Charming, loved him so deeply that she could not imagine a life without him.
She held the Opulent Oyster in her long slender fingers, luxuriating in its silky sheen. Her reflection stared back at her and she was shocked to see how
her eyes looked tired and sad and her face wore the mask of someone who had been betrayed. Someone who had loved and was now grieving for something that was no longer! It was at that point that she made a decision. A decision to overcome all the sadness and at the same time to put the demons to rest.
Two people had caused her so much pain. The Wicked Witch and the Devil Incarnate. As for Frog (Prince Charming) she would show him what a dreadful mistake he had made and as such he would suffer….. And so began her plan!
And so with her new found ability to move about the sea at will, she decided to explore a bit. She swam past a large coral that had many beautiful tropical fish, sea horses and other sea life. She thought what a wonderful place. A place where she might find peacefulness.
After a while of sightseeing sbe came upon a large ship that had sunken many years before. She swam through all the cabins finding beautiful treasures. Things that were once owned by some of the most wealthy. She found gold and jewels and even elaborate hair clips made of mother of pearl and turquoise.
Then something caught the corner of her eye. It was very shiny and looked as if being buried beneath the sea had no effect on its beauty. She went over and picked up the item …. It was a lantern …. A gold lantern adorned with jewels. The girl could almost see her reflection in the side of the lantern but there was a bit of soot ….. so she decided to rub it clean.
As she rubbed the lantern …………….
………..she found herself on dry land.
Her hair flowed down her back thicker and more luxuriant. Her lips were pouted and smooth, her breasts were (well imagine breast implants but hers were natural) and her skin, yes her beautiful skin had become even more soft and silky (if that were ever possible). She had been transformed from her former beauty into (if that were ever possible) the most exquisite creature on earth. Her Mermaid's tail had been transformed into long slender legs……..a sight for any man to behold.Indeed, a sight which would dazzle Prince Charming into ridding himself of the Wicked Witch and the Devil Incarnate. She would dazzle him with her charm and beauty, and
seduce him with her love. Finally he would return to her…………….forever and ever………………………She found a white horse grazing nearby, and in true medieval style harnessed it for transport and galloped off on her mission . . .
[Her nakedness on a horse and long flowing hair was reminiscent of Lady Godiva . . . well that may just be her identity !]
As her horse flew faster and faster into the wind, she slowly began to feel something she had not had in many years….freedom. The freedom to be herself…to be beautiful…to welcome back the part of herself she had left behind in her quest to keep the selfish, weak Prince happy.
She began to wonder…was all the heartache worth the trouble, tears and sadness? Dare I mention the time spent obsessing over said weak-willed Prince? Should she just let the Wicked Witch have a go at him and be done with him forever? (Think Sandra Bullock.) Surely true love would come, as what she had with the Prince was most certainly NOT true love. But could she see love if it came her way?
First thing she had to do was park the horse and go shopping! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
<img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> Excellent addition, Zooey !! Very funny !
All eyes <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ /> turned towards her as she slowly dismounted from her trusted steed. She felt no embarrassment as her long golden locks encased her body fighting to hide her nakedness.
''Aaaaah'' she gasped in wonderment faced with so many luxuriant goods displayed in the large HERRODS shop windows! There were models of every shape and size adorned in flowing gowns and bedecked in priceless jewels of diamonds, pearls and glistening stones which shone brightly
under the glaring lights. She gazed in amazement oblivious to all around. It had been so long since she had actually spent time thinking of her own needs and gradually the realiasation came to her as to how much she had sacrificed her soul for that of her once beloved Prince Charming.
Slowly, as if dazed by everything around, she entered the store through the large swing doors breathing in the heavy scent of perfumes and delighting in the shapes of beautiful cut glass crystal bottles which beckoned from every direction.
For a moment she stood transfixed noticing her reflection in the glass mirrors. It was then she realised it was time to 'dress' as she made her way up the escalators to the second floor………….

<img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />WHAT???? No Door Man???? <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ /> I thought this was high end!
Regardless…
Not being able to remember much about her past as so many changes had occurred over the last few months, Ariel (yes, she has a name…and it HAS to be Ariel) was amazed when all the sales girls on the floor approached her with joy, asking “Where have you been? We've missed you so!” Ariel was speechless…who were these sweet ladies? Why were they being so nice to her? (Remember, her memory had lapsed, her past temporarily forgotten.)
Ariel allowed them to dress her, from the finest, most feminine lingerie to the softest, palest shade of yellow silk dress. (Think Mercedes-Benz Yellow.) Light in weight with a precious dotted swiss touch, the jewel in the crown was brought to her by a lovely sales girl. A pair of white Prada sandals, fit for a true Princess.
And yes, she now strongly resembled Royalty…a fact that no one could possibly miss. Not even the Queen, as she herself was having her own problems with a spineless Prince and his mutt of a wife…but that's another story for another time.
However, there ARE similarities…spineless Prince cheats on beautiful Princess with Wicked Witch, while broken hearted Princess struggles mentally on a daily basis with ridiculous questions….”What's wrong with me?” (Nothing) “Why her?” (He has bad taste and no working brain cells.) “What do I do now?” (Well, we all know how that one ended, but we also know this one will end much better!)
''I'm so sorry'' Ariel stammered apologetically, ''but I haven't been well and I really do not understand how you know me!'' The young sales lady smiled sympathetically. ''You used to work here'' she replied. ''You were always so helpful and then this gentleman appeared on the scene. He used to come here often buying perfumes and gifts. We all knew he was married at the time but
we could see he was very, very unhappy. He spoke to all of us and mentioned that he hadn't been well and then, once he began talking to you, we could all see that his spirits lifted and his whole demeanour changed. Gradually you began to fall in love with him and, we thought, he with you! Then one day you came in to work bearing gifts for us all and said you would be leaving. We were shocked and dismayed and questioned whether you should be giving up everything for this man but we could see that you had made up your mind and whatever advice we would have given would have been rejected. We all knew
that he was not quite the person you believed him to be as why should he have been visiting us here and buying all these gifts and perfumes?''Ariel allowed a weak smile to caress her mouth although her eyes showed no sparkle. She let her mind wander back in time but what she saw troubled her and made her sad once more.
''I have to go!'' she exclaimed, thanking everyone for their kindness. 'I really have to leave but I promise to come back once I have sorted out my demons. Once I regain my true worth and confront the Wicked Witch and the Devil Incarnate who has snared my true love in her grasp! It will be an uphill
battle but everyone has to learn that one cannot go through this short life
causing misery and unhappiness in pursuit of their own self gratification. It is a lesson to be learned and there is no need to be cruel to others in our short journey onwards.''Ariel breathed a sigh of relief as the Doorman greeted her with an infectious smile opening the heavy glass door (something they only do on exit) and stepped into the brilliant sunshine. Her beautiful steed was nowhwere to be seen but at least for the moment, she was beginning to feel human once more…………
QUOTE(Petals @ May 29 2010, 05:06 AM)Ariel breathed a sigh of relief as the Doorman greeted her with an infectious smile opening the heavy glass door (something they only do on exit) and stepped into the brilliant sunshine. Her beautiful steed was nowhwere to be seen but at least for the moment, she was beginning to feel human once more…………You really should talk to them about the Doorman thing. At Bergdorf's, they open it both coming and going. (They've had the same jolly Doorman for years.) I remember very well the first time we were there. Could not get over the prices…was in “sticker shock” for hours. On the way out I asked said jolly Doorman…”Is everyone in this city crazy or filthy rich?” He replied, laughing, “A little bit of both, ma'am. A little bit of both.” Never forgot that. Will also never forget the little cashmere sweater “On Sale” for $1,200. <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ />
Will get back to the story momentarily….have to think about it a bit more…it's getting deep. Need to lighten it up a tad…dealing with Demons, a Wicked Witch and the Devil Incarnate (?) all at the same time is difficult to deal with, even on a fictitious level! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm… <img src='style_emoticons//huh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’huh.gif’ />
Well you can lighten it up from hereonwards. As for the doorman, what a good reply….but there are things there that do not cost an arm and a leg. Let's say an arm and a leg and a head! LOL
Ariel realised she needed something more from the shop, so tried to re-enter the store, but with the doorman only opening it on exit, she had to troop around to the other street where the swinging door entry was.
Her graceful walk turned into a quick march as she became a woman on a mission!
QUOTE(Sandra @ May 30 2010, 02:27 AM)Her graceful walk turned into a quick march as she became a woman on a mission! And we all know the only thing worse than a woman on a mission is a woman on a mission who has just had a drink or 3, then toss in a full moon and all he** will break loose. <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ />
I see a different side of Ariel about to surface. And may I say it's about time! <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />
Come on, Ariel…get angry! The Wicked Witch has caused enough trouble, but we can dispense with her easily. You have the power to make her disappear. (If you could change from a person to a Mermaid to a person again, you can do anything.) The Devil Incarnate is only playing with the Prince…it's something she's done before and he will come to know she will do it again.
Ariel should pick up the handset on her Pink Princess Phone and call the Devil Incarnate. Tell her she may have the Prince and all of his problems…he's just too heavy a load to carry, and carry him she must. After the first dance, it's downhill for both of them. <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ /> As soon as the DI realizes Ariel no longer wants him, he is no longer a challenge. Just a wimpy prince.
I cannot imagine the whining he's dumping on her. She will tire of it quickly and then move on to yet another “involved” spineless Prince. That's her signature…when will Ariel see this?
If the guy had any gumption, he would not give the Devil Incarnate the time of day! Obviously, he has developed very low standards where love is concerned. I'd tell her that, too, if she was a real person. (Actually, I've done that in real life, but we only do stories here.) <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
