This is the best tennis tournament we have seen in years. /wub.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wub.gif’ />

The Robbie Genefrie and Coria match this afternoon was really something. Both of those guys qualify for Super Hero speed. Congrats to Robbie for hanging in there for the win.

    Mary Pierce has been fantastic also. /laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

    <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> Not even a little snippet of it over here!! <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />

    However, we know our boy Lleyton is still in it ! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Glad you are enjoying it over there, Don!

    Holy cow!

    8 to 6 in a fifth set tiebreaker between Agassi and James Blake. (Agassi won) <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

    What a match! Whew. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

20,000 people stayed til 1am in New York (on a work night) to watch this match till the end. <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />

What's the matter with Aussie TV, Sandra? Do they just show the Australian Open?

No we see Wimbledon and bits of the French Open, but yep – unfortunately I think the time difference is too great on this one, so the ratings would be down except for the late night howlers! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

We don't get much news about it until about the quarter finals, so Agassi's epic win did make the news. <img src='style_emoticons//cool.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’cool.gif’ /> Along with some visuals ofthe winning shot and the handshake.

I think we will just hear about the winners now – their scores get flashed up on the screen, but few visuals. If Hewitt makes the final they might televise it . . . . who knows? <img src='style_emoticons//unsure.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’unsure.gif’ />

Well, the women's final was shown here live (congratulations to Kim!) on Sunday morning at a fairly decent time . . . and the men's final is being televised right now but it's now early Monday morning and everyone is on their way to work or school, so many will miss it. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />

However, we have had a great weekend in Sport over here, so there's been much to talk about other than the tennis anyway. It would have been nice to watch the Federer – Agassi game though. Hasn't Agassi played like the champ he is? <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />

Chapeau to champion Roger Federer, but also congratulations to Agassi. They showed us tennis at its best! <img src='style_emoticons//rolleyes.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’rolleyes.gif’ />

We were disappointed that Agassi didn't win but at least he lost to the best player in the world (and gave him a good match). <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />

Federer is truly one of the best of all times and nowhere near his peak yet. The Swiss should be proud that he is such a gracious and good guy. His demeanor speaks well of all the Swiss people.

Congrats also to Kim Clister. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ /> She has deserved this win for a long time and we were thrilled to see such a nice person finally win. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

Our young American men gave us reason to hope for the future in this tournament. Robbie Ginepri and James Blake both played a lot of great matches and we are looking forward to seeing them again.

    All in all, a terrific US open this year. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> Too bad it's over till next year. We can't wait. <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />
