    Hello everyone,

I wanted to share a couple of photos from the IPBA (International Perfume Bottle Association) Florida chapter meeting from today… which was held in Sunrise, FL.

I was graciously invited by P.E. Parry… so a special thanks to you and big XOXO's… we also met up with Klassicguy1!

It was wonderful to connect with both of you again and the meeting was very interesting!

Today was special as it was the first time ever seeing P.E.Parry's Imperial Panda in person, she also brought in her other series for “show & tell”

    Hello Lisa!

Oh I wish I had known about this. I would have made arrangements to be there to meet ya'll! And to drool over the wonderful collection with green eyed envy! Let me know if you are swinging that way again and I will do my best to get there! Thank you so much for sharing the pics!

I have recently been in touch with Joyce, IPBA VP who was so gracious to send me an older copy of the IPBA Quarterly magazine and some other information. She made sure to send me a back issue which had SURPRISE…ANN & KEN's pictures and article! I enjoyed seeing more of their talented creativity in displaying Estee solids! I definitely can see how being in the IPBA helps to meet with other solid perfume lovers. I am excited that in 2012 the IPBA convention is here in Jacksonville! I hope to meet so many of you in the future!

What a perfect way to display all the Ivory solids! I am drooling over Phyllis' Imperial Panda, it's so sad there are so few.

Love that solid display you have there, Phyllis – I bet you had that guarded well !

They all go really well together. Fantastic effort to have collected these ones. Love it ! 😀

Thanks for the great photos! What an incredible collection, Phyllis, and arranged so perfectly to compliment each one. It's so nice to be able to link faces with members' names! IPBA sounds like something I would like to check into, too. Thank you again, Lisa!

I too loved Phyllis' displays and the Panda was incredible…. something Phillis did was such a wonderful idea… she used museum putty to keep the compacts in place from moving… I never did this and now think I may… I always open my display cabinets and a couple of solids tumble out… last time I decapitated my Cat's Meow 😮

😮 Oh yeah ! I remember that ! And we all had a good howl about that . . . I haven't had that experience with my solids jumping out of the display cabinet, but I always worry about people being able to easily take them . . . because they aren't glued down . . . not friends, but say people in the house to do work when I'm not there . . . 🙁

Museum putty is a good idea. I heard about people in California using it because of the earthquakes. You are right about a solid falling when the door opens on the curio cabinet. It has happened to me too. Where can you get museum putty?

I used it in California. I still have it and it's still good. What I have is called “Quake Hold!” I probably got it at a home improvement store. The label says the company is called Trevco in California, 818-301-0891. http://quakehold.com/

Museum putty can usually be found at an Arts and Crafts store. If you can't find it there, Office Depot has an adhesive putty that works just as well. The putty is very flexible, removabe and reuseable. I always try to place it so it doesn't cover the label as it could remove some of the print.

It was my pleasure to see Lisa and Woody again and to be able to share my ivory collections with them and the members at the IPBA. It's always fun and a very friendly group.

Thanks, Phyllis, for the info. Since I live in Southern California and we've had a few quakes (minor but enough to rattle things) in the past several months I plan to head out to Office Depot and acquire some of that putty pronto! And that's great advice to make sure not to cover the label with it. Thanks, again!

Thanks for the info about the museum putty, wonder if we can get it over here, it sounds just the thing I need for sticking things down in my dolls house.

Hi Woody……Good to see your 😀 😀 face again.
