I am wondering if there is no label, how do you tell the difference in all the Estee Rope solids? I have a few that are the same design rope with the turquoise stone center, but the sizes are slightly different. Is there any way to tell which one is from what year??? There were so many releases/re-releases.
Any hints? Thanks ya'll!! 😎
According to my opinion you can only tell which year it was issued if you have the box with the price tag.
Hope that helps, Brigitte

If you look on Page 13 of Roselyn's Collection Book, there is quite a list of all “closed auctions” listing many different “rope” pendant solids. Possibly you could go through the list and check out the photo's as they all have names associated with them. For instance, there is a Ginger Jewel Pendant (tortoise) that was issued in 1979 and another Ginger Jewel (red) that was issued in 1978.
Ms. Gerson had two other books published that are equally informative (beautiful photos!) and have a few solid rope pendants in them. For instance, on pages 74 and 75 of her “Vintage & Contemporary Purse Accessories” there are photo's of 4 of them…all pendants…all on ropes (except for the shell pendant.)
There's also her “Vintage & Vogue Ladies Compacts.” Get thee to Barnes & Noble! 😀
That's all the help I can give as I personally have never purchased a Pendant Solid.
Good Luck! Hey, half the fun is in the search. 😉
