My Least favourite solid: Victorian Doll House
I live in Pretoria, South Africa
Number of solids: 30, I have only been collecting for the last 4 years.

I hope to buy at least another 4 this year.

Hi All – our cold weather has given me a chance to catch up. What an interesting subject, I have enjoyed reading all the answers.

My favourite solids are all the moveable ones – i.e. Boatride, Roulette Wheel, Flower Cart, Cinderella Coach etc. I think they are intricate and enjoyable and I also love all the boots, shoes and fruit.

The least favourite are the 'scene' solids – Igloo, Lighthouse, shimmering Oasis etc. although I do like the Little Red Barn. I don't collect the cameos.

I have between 230 – 250 solids and have been collecting for approximately 5 years.

I live in Australia.

Hi Everyone,

My favorite solid: It's a hard question, but I would have to say the crystal fruits although I don't own any of them <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> . I also love love love all of the cameos. <img src='style_emoticons//tongue.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’tongue.gif’ /> I usually don't buy Estee Lauder solids anymore, but I always get the new cameo solid at Christmas time.

My favorite solid that I own: The mermaid—it's fabulous!

Least favorite solid: It's the dog in the bucket with fake bubbles—I've fogotten the real name of it .

I have 250+ Estee Lauder perfume solids and 350+ perfume solids from Corday, Max Factor, Helena Rubenstein, Mary Chess, Goldette, Callejero, Studio Girl, Revlon, etc. (I love the older perfume solids)

I've been out of town most of the summer and am now just reading these. It's been fun reading everyone's replies.

Least favorite: 2003 Cupids Garden

Received my lst solid as a Christmas gift almost 13 years ago and have
been collecting ever since.

What solid did you get as your first? My first was also a gift…the Empire Locket I still have the box, tag, perfume intact. It was a gift from a boyfriend in high school. I didn't start collecting them until a few years later though.

Hi Catherine,
Sorry to take so long in responding. Our computer at home has crashed and my
husband has been trying to fix it for the last few weeks. Between being out of
town and no internet service I go to the library once in a while and check on this website. That's where I am now.

My first solid was from my mother for Chirstmas and it's the orange fish with the blue eye. I think it came out in '92 or '93 and I've been hooked ever since. Back in those days I threw the boxes away – don't know what I was thinking!!

This has been my busiest year ever, changed jobs, moving house, changing areas.
So lots going on.

Hi!

I have been collecting for a little over 3 years, I have 150+ solids and probably 30+ powders, I have not counted in a while!

My favorite solid is Shimmering Oasis
My least favorite is the Puppy in the tub
I wish I had a Magic Dragon!

My favorite powder compacts are the K. Bauman's

After Katrina my urge to collect compacts is down. They could be gone in a flash, and people and pets are much more important.

I am really sad for all the losses, and the unrescued pets!

I wish I knew how to spell check my posts!

Over the years I have had alot of different solids, but then decided I do not like them that much so I have sold them and bought other ones, but the prices are just so high and it has made me fussy!

IF I had the green Magic dragon – it was my favourite. Since I do not, it is the English Emblem. Least favourite: all ropes and cameos. I am serious about collecting since the Beautiful vanity came out which is my 2nd favourite. I only have 30 pieces now since I got rid of the ones I do not like
