Special Harrods Solid

Exciting news! There is a new solid! I just received a special 50th Anniversary Estee Lauder Harrods perfume solid. This solid was done to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Estee Lauder at Harrods. There is no “bling” on the solid, but it's very regal looking. I love it! Wish I could post a pic for everyone. I can send a pic if you send me an email…klassicguy1@sbcglobal.net

I've been looking at this one, can't make up my mind though. When they say limited to 300, do they actually mean 300?

Harrods is usually pretty good about limits, and in fact, I was told that only 100 would be done possibly…I do think it will be a special one.

Reminds me of the 25th Anniversary Solid. There is another in my mind but will check out Jack and Lisa's database. Will definitely go and see it first hand but have not had a chance. Perhaps later today!

Limited?? Well if there is a card in the box stating it is limited, that helps! But…

I would want a card in the box stating the number of the solid that I had bought and how many were being produced…….We all know what limited means when its word of mouth.

How much is this solid?

I quite like the new Harrods' solid, very elegant & understated. I usually like the blingier solids, but am glad to add this one to my collection.

I just went to Harrods.com and saw the solid. They even have a zoom feature. I put Estee Lauder in the Keyword/Search option and the 50th Anniversary solid came up.

It's pretty and elegant. It's also pricey, but what isn't these days. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

Just came back from Harrods and saw the solid first hand. Nicer than I expected. Price is £200 and the perfume is Beautiful. I looked at the card from the box but it doesn't state, unfortunately, limited to any specific number. You will recall with the Harrods Palace etc., in the early days, they did have a card specifying the limited number which is great as a collector. I must say I do like this solid although I doubt I shall be shelling out £200 right now. But, it is much nicer than it appears in the picture. As Kitita says, very elegant.

Next bit of news is that Alison is no longer there. There is a new Manager by the name of Denison. I think that is the correct spelling but next time hope to meet her. She was on a break and it had been a long day for me, so I did not wait as I had other things to do. The other male Manager who used to be there apparantly has been gone a long while. So all in all good news.

Hope this helps! I also saw the other releases which you no doubt have on your side of the pond. When I am in Florida, will check out..

Just to let everyone know that I did not actually receive a brochure. Someone emailed me information which he received and that is how I knew the Harrods evening was taking place. On Saturday I did ask for some brochures whilst there, but was told they did not have any. I shall phone tomorrow to ask again.

I will gladly add the attachment which I received but some friends have been unable to open the attachment….excuse this rushed post! Am really tied up at the moment….back later.

Totally agree with Margaret…if they had a number from 1 to 100 (or however many they've supposedly made,) then I want it on the Insert Card or preferably etched deeply into the back of the solid. Otherwise, it's not a true Limited Edition. At least, IMHO! <img src='style_emoticons//rolleyes.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’rolleyes.gif’ />
