Hello,

I'm a new member and a fairly new collector. This site has been an incredible resource! I'm looking for the 1986 Sleeping Cat compact (Cinnabar) and the 2000 Vanity compact (Beautiful). I don't need to have boxes but would prefer a label on the bottom. Please contact me via my profile on the website if you can help me out! Thank you for this great website!

Hello Wendy! Welcome to the gang! I hope that you enjoy solid perfume collecting as much as I do! I love it!!! I am also newer (4 years) to solid perfume collecting also. Be prepared to loose all your extra cash! Solids are like chips, you can't have just one!!

Be sure to read through the old forum topics, you will learn so much. Also be sure to check out Brigittes Page too! (Brigittes PageBut be prepared to drool at her collection. There are so many awesome collectors in here. I love being part of this group!

Thank you, Lisa and Jenn – it's great to be a part of the EL collecting family! I have been fortunate, especially since I'm an amateur, to obtain the Vanity and the Sleeping Cat. Now I'm looking for the Birdbath, the Birdhouse, Carousel (LOL – I've been reading thru the forums), One Horse Open Sleigh, Imperial Horse. It would be nice to have MIB but my budget is a bit stretched so I would be happy with whatever I could get! I'm already eyeing the 2010 Golden Bird…

DO you know about the Cosmetic Centers? They're typically at the larger outlet malls. They have solids that are generally from the previous year. You never know what you'll find there. If you call them, they will usually tell you and I've had them ship a solid to me. I think they sell at about 20% off.

No, I've never heard of the Cosmetic Centers. There are a couple large outlet malls that I could try. Thank you so much for the tip!
