Sale To Help Us With Our Daschunds' Backsurgery

Hi all,
Margaret and I need to raise enough money in the next few days to take our Daschund Max to Dallas to get back surgery. He blew a disk out and needs surgery asap.

We have an extensive collection and are willing to sell any of it to help our pet. Rather than list what we have, if any of you have been looking for anything special please email us at Carpenter523@cableone.net and we will tell you if we have what you want and what we would like to have for it. We need to raise about $2500 and will sell until we get that much. We promise to give a fair price on our perfumes.

Most of our perfumes are MIB with at least the inner box and a lot of them have the outer box also. This includes a lot of the older perfumes as well as the new ones.

Your help would be deeply appreciated and maybe you can get something you haven't been able to find.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Max has had back surgery before and been ok until he and Oskar (our other daschund) got into a tiff about a week ago. Here is a picture of Max and our Chow Cinnabar. The surgeons say Maxs' chances are great if we get his operation soon.

Good Sunday morning everyone,

Due to the great response for our request on Maxs' behalf we are really close to having the money we need for his operation. We have a Sparkling Snowman in both boxes we would sell for the $175 we paid for it. We also have a Jester without a box but with perfume and a tag for $325.

We are sure he will be alright as long as we get him there in the next few days. We have gone through this once with Max already, about a year ago, and he had a great recovery. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

They told us at the hospital in Dallas that they had done over 20,000 of these surgerys on Daschunds alone. <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ /> Most of their business is with dogs that are longer than they are high and with bigger dogs and hip displasia (especially Labrador Retrievers).

Any of you that have dogs, please do not let them jump up and down off of chairs and couches etc. Also, we were told that the worst thing for dogs' backs is coming down stairs. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />

We will let everyone know how it went when we get back from Dallas. We are probably going to go Tuesday and should have news by the first of the next week.

Hello Maragaret and Don

I had this surgery 15 years ago! I didnt realise it affected dogs too! My disc had totally ruptured and was in the spinal space – very serious for me but all turned out well!

I know your dog will be so much better after this surgery, it is extremely painful, I know! <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> But after the surgery all I was left with was some numbness in my leg.

I''m sorry to hear about Max. I hope he has a full recovery. I've had dachshunds all my life and they're a wonderful breed. Whiskey Blue is my long haired black dachshund that I've had for the last 5 years. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Now I'm worried about my dog who does stairs and couches many times every day – he bounds everywhere!! He's not so long as Max but has short legs, so hopefully he'll be all right in the back department. <img src='style_emoticons//huh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’huh.gif’ />

Fingers crossed and I'll tell him he ought to be more gentle when jumping off things!! <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />
