I hear ya, I hear ya !! I have many solids in my cupboard that I could just slit my wrists over (so to speak) when I think about how much I paid for them! <img src='style_emoticons//mad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’mad.gif’ />

    Sandra, PLEASE DON'T!!! <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ />

I know it's hard when you think about what you paid versus Ebay – but remember you don't really know the condition of the solids being purchased until you actually see them – I've been burned with “cheap” solids on Ebay before – sometimes they are not as well made as the ones you own! Remember, buyer beware!

Besides, we all like your wrists the way they are <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> Also, you've had the pleasure of the solids in your home all this time bringing you joy so that should count for something. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

What are you saying? Are there counterfeit solids being sold on Ebay? I did not believe counterfeits had entered into this area of collecting. <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />
    Say it ain't so <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />

I don't think they are counterfeit so much as I think they were imperfect and sold off in a warehouse sale to EL employees. I think some of the cheap ebay no reserve prices are due to this. I think most of the stuff you see on Ebay is probably okay – you just have to be careful and once you find a good honest seller or sellers try to stick with them.

    <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> Hey Katita ! I was only figuratively speaking . . . no wrists slit here (yet).

Have largely stopped by solids like most people, I only buy them now if they are a bargain and do not pay retail prices anymore.

The retail market for them has gradually declined to an absolute standstill over here in Australia since the introduction of Ebay and the sub-standard quality of a lot of them since the passing of the great lady.

The older ones will always hold their value and appreciate because of the quality control, the limited numbers made and the way they were distributed and marketed.

Anyway, I think I have enough for my lifetime, no need to keep buying into the next . . . . unless a real goodie comes along!! <img src='style_emoticons//cool.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’cool.gif’ />
