Rare Early Estee Lauder Compact Necklace

Hello Everyone:

I have not posted here for a very long time, but feel it is important to bring this item to the collectors.

I have recently found a rare very early Estee Lauder compact necklace. It was obtained from the estate of a very welthy woman who had many priceless items. Roslyn Gerson has been contacted to see if she had any information on this piece but was unable to find anything even after contacting the Estee archieves. If anyone has any information please contact me.

What an interesting find!! Thank you for sharing it with us. I wonder if it was a prototype or an earlier EL solid. Please share any information you find out about it. Did the woman work with Estee? Does it have any perfume inside?? or smell like perfume? I am hoping it is another unique solid find for Estee. Great job!!

Hi Butterflies,

As far as I know the woman did not work with Estee. It has been cleaned but amazingly it still smells like Youth Dew. I have contacted one of the very knowlegable members here and she told me she has 2 of these and one is full and it is definately an early solid and not a prototype. Thats all I know so far. I dont know what year it might be. Perhaps someone will come forward and share some more information with us.
