Hello there !
I just found this one on eBay – maybe the one or other of you collectors is interested in, and probably it's something for Brigitte's “Prototype collection”. It's missing the stones, and most of the enamel. This seller seems to have more of these unfinished solids up for auction.

Has anyone see the Fish with the Blue Glass Eyes? The seller wasn't sure whether this was an E.L.
Now I am really confused! The Harrods Palace also without stones being sold from the States on Ebay?!

My thoughts on the rollercoaster is that it is an unfinished piece that is all. <img src='style_emoticons//unsure.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’unsure.gif’ />LisaMemberMarch 8, 2004 at 3:02 amPost count: 2664
Yes, Ron, I agree with you. These are not prototypes just unfinished solids. Personally they don't appeal to me. If one or two stones are missing from a piece that is one thing but when enamel and actual pieces to the solid are missing then what is the point? Just my opinion.PetalsMemberMarch 8, 2004 at 7:24 amPost count: 2373
Just recalled something which could be appropriate for those solids without stones and before everyone starts yelling at me, this is fact!
I happened to be with a woman who was married to a very, very wealthy man (this was in the Middle East). We were in the Gold Souk (a market where they only sell gold and jewellery) and she was buying a set of Indian Jewellery encrusted with semi-precious stones. It was extremely expensive!
Later she told me that once she returned to her home in Europe, she would have the semi-precious stones removed and replaced with real gems!
Now I would be very happy to receive a Harrods Palace covered in Diamonds and Emeralds! One good use for the one being sold on Ebay right now!!!!!
Just a thought!
Jack, if this is deemed inappropriate to the subject matter, please delete!SandraMemberMarch 8, 2004 at 10:23 pmPost count: 2188
Wow!! Good idea, Jacky !! It'd be a one-off as well!! Would be worth a bit if you could get it done!!
I don't think it's inappropriate at all!! Good recollection, 99!!greyhoundMemberMarch 8, 2004 at 10:37 pmPost count: 437
Jacky, I thought semi-precious stones are gems.
I bought an unfinished solid. Bidding was decent, so I said “what the heck”. I'm thinking about selling it. Not sure yet. Actually, I'm considering selling a few solids from my collection. I love solids, but would like extra funds to buy a certain purse I wanted for 10 years. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> I'll wait until April-June before making a final decision.PetalsMemberMarch 8, 2004 at 10:48 pmPost count: 2373
Hi Greyhound……..I have now opened up my 'trusted friend'. They are, but they are less valuable than a precious stone!
Can you imagine the Palace embedded with Emeralds and Diamonds! I expect the Owner of Harrods has one just like that! Mind you, I am happy with mine the way it is, but I wouldn't say No!
Would love to know which unfinished one you have! <img src='style_emoticons//cool.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’cool.gif’ />
