Lisa and I are now more determined than ever to make this site a comprehensive source for information. To do that, we'll need everyone's help!
If anyone has a solid that we don't have a photograph of in our database and you would be willing to take a picture for us, we'd love it! Here's all you need to do:
1. Take a look through our database and see if you have something we're missing, especially the older items. The database is right here!
2. Get out your digital camera and take a photo. (on a light colored background would be great!)
3. Email the photo to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. The bigger the better, we'll size it down if necessary. If you are sending multiple photos, you can .zip them if you like, but it's not necessary.
All photos sent will be used for our database and will become the property of SolidPerfume.com. Essentially you will be donating the photo to us. This is important for reasons such as the fact that we have to own the photo in order to be able to keep eBay sellers from taking them to use for auctions where they may not actually have the item. For copyright reasons, please do not send photos you didn't take yourself.
What do you get for your trouble, you ask? The priceless satisfaction of helping us complete our database. /smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ /> SolidcrazyMemberAugust 8, 2004 at 9:02 pmPost count: 45
Do you want only the missing Estee Lauder photos? Are you going to start a database of all the other solids also?

Good question. We will be starting a database of other makers' solids, but right now we are looking to fill in just the Estee Lauder photos.
Once I get started on the other makers I'll post again and let you know what we need help with. Thanks for asking!JackKeymasterAugust 10, 2004 at 3:12 amPost count: 371JackKeymasterAugust 10, 2004 at 1:46 pmPost count: 371
Thanks to a generous donation of photos from Brigitte, we now have all the photos we are missing! Thanks very much to Brigitte and everyone who sent photos! <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />P.E.ParryMemberAugust 12, 2004 at 2:14 amPost count: 330
How exciting to find you are going to do a data base on other solids!!! How I miss Michela. She and I loved lots of them and she had the great data base and pictures. We e-mailed each other when we discovered another Max Factor or Corday or just talked about our favorites. Let me know if I can help although I'm not much good with pictures. Am practicing with a new digital.

I have a questoin.
I have 'Golden Chains' which contains Spellbound. I bought it from Michaela, and she told me that it is limited solid released in 1994. However, it is not shown on the Database here. What should I do now? The compact is totally the same as these 'Golden Chains' that are already on the DB. <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ />LisaMemberAugust 13, 2004 at 8:35 pmPost count: 2664
There are so many solids missing from the database. Many of the solids were re-released in another year or with a difference fragrance. I am working on getting all the correct information as it comes in.
Michaela was 100% correct with her information- Golden Chains was released in 1994 as well as 1993. I am going to have to get that in the database, thanks for bringing it to my attention. <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />AstridMemberAugust 18, 2004 at 6:47 pmPost count: 136LisaMemberAugust 18, 2004 at 9:23 pmPost count: 2664
Yes, I think I saw the image on his desktop. Thank you very much for contributing.
When Jack has a chance, he will add all the missing photos as he needs to work on a script so the images cannot be taken off the site.
A big thanks again! <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />AstridMemberAugust 19, 2004 at 7:02 amPost count: 136
Thanks for letting me know, and I'm glad you got it.
I asked because sometimes my e-mails do not reach their destination … they go somewhere to the Nirvana <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />AuthorPostsViewing 11 posts - 1 through 11 (of 11 total)
