Received the new full distribution and the powders today and I must say I am very impressed.

Even the ladybug which I didn't think I would like because we already have 2 of them is very different and is much more “elegant”and smaller.
The horseshoe and four leaf clover are also small but have a good weight to them and nicer than I remembered them.
The cameo can stand alone without the cord so it displays nicely.
The acorn is much bigger than the rest and with it's stand looks more expensive like it should be in the $100-$125 range.

    The Erte powders are OUTSTANDING.
They put the name on the inside and on the front there are numbers in the disign of special lucky days for that month. Karin

    Ann,

I was again admiring the Erte compacts, they are really, really great. Photos don't do them justice. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

p.s.- I am also looking forward to your photos.

Lovely to hear you excited about the items – it sounds like you are pleased with your purchases. So nice to hear! <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

    Like the others, I'm patiently awaiting the pics. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

We received the general release solids today and agree with Ann on her assessment of all of them. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality and tactile feel of these small but nice pieces. We especially liked the ladybug and the cameo.

We don't collect the powders but when we saw these Erte designs we had to buy the two for our birthdays (and would love to have the full set). The front designs are wonderfully intricate and the compacts are just the right size to enjoy. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Glad to hear this. I will definitely make an extra effort to check out the general distribution solids.

And I agree with all of you on the Erte powder compacts. I normally do not collect powder compacts, but when I saw these recently, I couldn't resist. In fact, I purchased them from Donna at Bergdorf's during my trip to NYC recently. She is so sweet and kind.

Here is a quick shot of the 5 solids. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ /> (that is a dime in front) This picture really doesn't do them justice though.

Ooohh, love the four leaf clover!! (love the Irish anyway!) <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> Wasn't going to want it, but you changed my mind now . . . .

    Nice pic Don and Margaret – thanks!! You sure have your A, B and C's! <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />

I don't like the thought at having to do the C thing though. (Now don't anyone get perverse thoughts – this is in reference to Don's post in 'We would like to have the 2001 Rooster). <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

Where can I buy the horseshoe solid?

They will be in the stores soon….. stores like Burdines, Filenes, Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdales. Any big department store should carry them. If you still cannot find them try the free standing Estee Lauder stores in NY and Las Vegas. <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />

OK…. now that's weird!!! I thought we were told Nordstroms would no longer carry any EL solids. <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ />

    Oh-oh!! <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ />

    There's that distinction again between what you are told and what actually happens . . . . . <!–emo&<_<img src='style_emoticons//dry.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’dry.gif’ />

They have these at Harrods. At least they will be the Only stockist in the U.K. for any solid perfumes…….so we have been told.
