I'm so excited! I got this in the mail today. I don't know anything about it other than that it has Estee perfume in it. Anyone have any information? A name? A year?
Suzanne Martin had sent us photos of another one just like it several years ago. Her photos are below…Don and MargaretMemberJune 18, 2012 at 2:58 amPost count: 527

Anyone else have one?
What is everyone's thoughts?YuenMemberJune 19, 2012 at 2:08 amPost count: 65
I didn't see it coming up. I checked ebay serveral times a day 😆
It looks really old. How come we have no records of it??
On another matter, the Tortoise Ginger Jewel Necklace Cinnabar 1979 went for $500. As I'm still new, I'm not sure if this is a very high price or is it a reasonable price?

$500 for Ginger Jewel is a fair price… the red one comes up a lot more than this color….
I just don't anything about the above solid… I was hoping someone here would have some info…. it was not in Roselyn Gerson's bookchowlover2ParticipantJune 20, 2012 at 9:58 pmPost count: 275

I have not seen this one before. <will look again when back on my own computer as the picture is small on the notebook. Meanwhile, the <ginger jewel went at a fair price. I sold the red one a long while back and I dont think it fetched that price! <great that our older solids are holding their own now and we are seeing an upsurge in price. <wonder if <Brigitte has checked into the site. <am sure <Brigitte will be able to shed more light on everything…
Looking forward to finding out more about the unknown solid……LisaMemberJune 22, 2012 at 12:19 amPost count: 2664
Ann & Ken, Brigitte… any information? I would love to contact someone at the EL archives to ask then about it…. I would love to have a year & name..LisaMemberJuly 4, 2012 at 6:03 pmPost count: 2664
So still no responses to our mystery solid?
I got a email from another member…. she is in possession of this solid:
it is similar in nature to mine, both containing Estee, both have the same back & front, both labels look alike also…
Perhaps this is a group no one knows about??? 😮
I did try to contact Estee Lauder but we all know how that always goes….
Here is her solid:BrigitteMemberJuly 4, 2012 at 9:34 pmPost count: 383
Hi Lisa and of course, hi to all members too,
I don't quite understnad your excitemwnt as the oval one has been shown since years on the “Misc photos” site. 🙄
I don't know when the 2 items were issued, but I have the rectangle one with it's box. According to the label on the box it might have been 1975, but this just a assumption of mine.
Sorry, but I doubt very much that you will find out anything at the Estée Lauder headquarter. 😡
I'd be very much excited about anyone finding out the year of issue so I finally can correctly update my own database.
Good luck, BrigitteLisaMemberJuly 5, 2012 at 2:23 amPost count: 2664
It is just exciting to own one of my own… and yes, it has been shown but I've really never had any information on it or have seen it in person… so yes, to me very exciting!
Is there a name to the solid? Do you own both or just the one in the box? I wonder how many versions there are to this type.. just the 2?
It is wishful thinking to have some contact from Estee Lauder…. someday they will accept this site… after all…. we all promote collecting of their solids as a group.
Thank you againBrigitteMemberJuly 7, 2012 at 12:55 pmPost count: 383
I do have both, but only the rectangle one in it's box.
The one with the box is called “the English Vinaigrette”
Take care, Brigitte
