Hi everybody. I just got home from NYC – I live real close and KK is here so….we met and had 4pm tea at The Pierre Hotel. Posh, posh. We had “light tea” – just tea and a few scones (with delicious cream and fruit preserves) and some finger sandwiches. We met my sister over at the best candy store in all of NY – Dylan's just so she could see it. Then we went our seperate ways. I wore the nightstar necklace so she would know me – it's so hard to recognize the people you've never met before. We hugged and talked about our favorite solids. It was so much fun. Words cannot express how wonderful this site has been – meeting so many nice people. It's all so gushy – and thank you.

Anyone else with happy meeting stories out there? I'd love to hear some.

How much fun! Thanks for sharing that with us. What a neet touch to have worn the nightstar necklace. I have only come across other members through the conventions- Las Vegas and a couple of years ago in Orlando. I know I will be meeting you Katita in Vegas and am looking forward to it.

I agree – this site has provided us opportunity to meet and make friendships with people from near and far – so glad you could take advantage of that and also meet in real life rather than by silent communication. It's all so surreal to me!

Katita, your meeting with KK sounded wonderful. Glad you two got to meet one another.

A couple of years ago, some of the IPBA members had a regional get-together and invited the solid perfume collectors from North Carolina to attend. I met Lenore Heirs and Martha U from Hickory. It was a fun gathering with lots of good food and conversation. The IPBA members brought their favorite perfume bottle and the solid collectors brought one of their solids. Everyone had an opportunity to ìshow and tell.î

Iíve also met many wonderful people through this site whose friendship I shall treasure always. It would be nice to meet everyone in person, and have thought about trying to set up a regional ìget together.î The company I work for has a mountain house type corporate retreat right off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Blowing Rock/Boone in North Carolina. Hey, would anybody come? <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ />

It was so much fun meeting Katita! We had a luxurious time at the Pierre Hotel for Afternoon Tea. Katita is so pretty and kind and warm I felt like we had been friends forever. We had a wonderful time talking about all our solids' and our dogs. We both have Labs.
Katita's right about the candy store Dylan's if you ever go to NYC find it and look around it's a fabulous place.
Since I was in NYC and close the Bergdorf Goodman's you guessed it I had to find Donna and I did. She was busy working and made time to chat. She's just adorable and so kind and warm I felt like we were old friends. It was a treat to meet two of the members.

PS. I had to buy a solid to commemorate my trip to NYC. There were tulips everywhere so I bought the JS Tulips. Any excuse for a solid. It was so much fun meeting you too! I like the idea of a regional get together. When is the shindig in Reston, VA? I could probably make it there.
