How do you all feel about sending a note or letter to Estee Lauder??
Ok I finally did it — I wrote Estee Lauder a letter and told them how I felt about their solids and the warehouse sales and the large volume on ebay for sale. Also told them I no longer will purchase solids from their CSR. That my collection was going down in value and felt to buy any new ones would be a waste of money.
They will get back to me in a couple of weeks – I can't wait to see what they say.
I don't care if it is a huge company it made me feel better to write them.

Good for you, Mary!! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
I'd like to hear what they have to say too!
See how it is justified etc. Looking forward to your answer! <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />KKMemberAugust 12, 2005 at 3:29 amPost count: 876

Good luck, Mary. I sent a message to them using their website and just got a canned reply. No follow-up, nothing. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> I hope you do better. Please let us know as soon as you hear back.

Solid Perfume Members,
Right after I posted on this site “that I did not expect to get a response from my letter to Estee” … BAM … I had mail… from: Estee Lauder.
The letter was very bland….
Thank you for taking the time to contact Estee Lauder Blah Blah.. We would like to explain that our products are only distributed for sale at our authorized retail stores accounts, or at our free-standing store. Products purchased at our authorized accounts are genuine EL products.
And Melissa goes on to say that Ebay is not one of our accounts and therefore we have no way of knowing how they were obtained. Meilssa ends the short canned letter with Hope you will continue to look to Estee Lauder for all of your fragrance needs.
Melissa never once said anything about the warehouse sales, funny hu… she only brought up Ebay which was a very very small part of my letter. I find it very odd she did not defend the company in regards to the warehouse. I think not saying anything says volumes. Just in my opinion.
CATHERINE: The letter also never said anything about solids…. I think this is a canned letter just like the one you received.

Hope this is the correct heading, but……….looks like Harrods solids are now
turning up 'empty' on Ebay!
Was surprised, to say the least!

This so makes me mad, I know I should not be like this, but it just makes
me lose interest in collecting, that is why I have started selling my collection.
I know that I am going to lose money, I may keep hold of all my expensive ones
like the Carousel etc but if goes on like this what is that going to be worth!!!!
Elly. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />PetalsMemberAugust 22, 2005 at 10:10 pmPost count: 2373
Elly, don't get mad, get even! You and I and other members know that
our old solids cannot be repeated in this way. So those will retain their
value and their fantastic uniqueness. Under the circumstances, keep
searching for the old solids and ignore the new ones which are being released now!
Just a thought!

that is why I shall keep the ones that I really like and sell all the others,
but it does make me so mad, that solids go so cheaply, I shall definately not buy
the new ones now.
I used to enjoy collecting, but not so much these days.
Thanks Jacky for the thought, hope you are in better spirits this week!!!!!
