Just a quick report from the Vegas show. Meet and greet was last night, it was nice to see everyone. Today we were up early for the sale, tonight is dinner with a talk from EL.

At the same time it was sad to hear that sales were slow. Hope you had a great time with the members though and everyone enjoyed all the other attractions Las Vegas has to offer!

No, it wasn't the slow sales that made me say collecting isn't like it used to be. What has me a bit disappointed is the apparent waning interest in collecting solids. It seems like the number of collectors is shrinking fast and there aren't many new faces.

Great picture of you….enjoy all your updates like everyone else……i am afraid your sense of declining interest out there is pretty accurate……it makes me so sad because i have really enjoyed the whole collecting thing….i guess i shall keep up with my selling and hopefully make some of the collectors out there happy by giving them some great deals…..

Did you get to see the new solids for 2005? Did you take any pictures of them? I'm interested in one of the solids SAKS is going to be selling. You know the one with the dog that looks like it is suspended in mid air (Pampered Pup). How does it look in person?

Getting ready to head back to Chicago, but here's some more about convention. It was a good turnout, although a bit smaller than last year for us “solid junkies”. I was able to buy a few things for myself (including a Harrod's Hatbox! <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />) and sold a number of items to my solidperfume friends. It was great seeing everyone….Phyllis, Beri, Lorraine, Nancy, Lisa and Jack, KK, Angela..hope I didn't forget anyone. Estee hosted their brunch today and we were able to see the new solids….the Niemans items are great! They are larger than you would think, but are wonderful. Still not sold on all the Strongwater ones, but many people liked them. The powder compacts are great, esp. the two that are made for Vegas only. I am sure pics will be posted soon of all. The “Pink Lady” cadillac solid was there and it really cute. That's a quick update…I am sure more to follow.
