I have a question for my knowledgeable friends on the site. What year did Mr. Strongwater start including the certificates of authenticity with his solids? I believe that they started in 2003, even though he did some personal signings in 2002 for the first release of his solids with Estee Lauder. Also, did ALL the signed solids come with a certificate? I think that some associates had him sign a few extras that they held for clients after the event. These might not include a certificate. What do you all think?

    I'm thinking…I'm thinking already…be patient…

Do you mean the little fold-over cards that are tucked into the boxes, or the large card his “assistant” gives you at a regular signing…not necessarily of solids?

    Woody,

I think the signings began with the 2002 solids but most of them were signed in 2003 so the cards for the 2002 solids say 2003. Each solid had a separate card although they were all the same. <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ /> Does that make sense? <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ />

Strongwater is not making too many appearances this year for signing solids, I know next Thursday, December 2nd Jay will be signing at the Saks in Palm Beach from 11-4 for more information call:

2002 – I went to Saks the day of the signing and bought the acorn and dragonfly. Only received one card for both. I believe it says 2002 because he visited Houston during the fall.

2003 – went to Saks a few weeks after his signing and bought 2 solids. Again, they just gave me 1 card.

    2004 – don't remember. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> Probably didn't get any solid signed much less a card.

Sometime in the past 3 yrs – bought a couple signed Strongwaters from ebay. One seller gave me a card, the other didn't.

    Basically have 1 card for every 2 signed solids purchased. <img src='style_emoticons//unsure.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’unsure.gif’ />

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I asked mainly as someone didn't want to buy a solid if it didn't come with the card…….I had all mine signed until this year, as I wasn't anywhere near one of his personal appearances. I like them just the same. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
