Hi Everyone!
I have been checking these posts frequently and its just too darn quiet in here without Big Bob and Lola.I know you are all out there. Now we dont want the site to be in danger of shutting down again, Right? When we all thought the site would be gone we began posting and creating our wonderful story. Now that the story has ended, there are hardly any new posts.
The story made this an interesting and exciting place to visit everyday. Actually it made me laugh and feel connected to something.
Perhaps day to day life isn't that interesting to write about? Or we are all busy which I can understand. But I miss Bob & Lola.
I was thinking the same….ha ha… <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
The trouble is with me, its that silly retail selling time again and I have a lot of work.
Whats every one doing for Christmas I wonder?…..We do nothing. I come home on Christmas eve and chill for three days, always treat myself to a good book and cook a few good meals for Hubby and I. Friends always invite us for Christmas dinner but we always say no, its wonderful just being by ourselves…..I do know that one or two of our friends envy us our peace and quiet.
Margaret
Hi All,
My husband and I do the same as Margaret for the holidays. Just the 2 of us and my dog (of course) my tree & fireplace and peace and quiet.
Whatever you all do, I hope you have a healthy, happy holiday season <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

Yeah – I pop in for a quick squiz every now and then and agree it's been mighty quiet. However, work is frantically busy, so I don't always have the time of brain space to write much from now 'til christmas !
Over here it's HOT ! And I am so worn out by then, I don't do too much but eat, drink, read and watch a few movies these days – the last 3 years I have taken to 'pretending' I am away between Christmas and New Year – I put the phone on answering machine and with drink in hand, sit outside under the palm trees by my pool with my little trusty dog.
It's been great (and much better than packing one's bags to go away without the furry guy)! Also it's cheaper, the weather is great and I have the pool all to myself ! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
Presently we're just making Pumpkin Bread for Thanksgiving…great with gobs of Cream Cheese. So far we only have 8 loaves but am working towards 10 or 12, time permitting. Then a Pumpkin Roll to take along for Thanksgiving Dinner #1 on Thursday – the actual Holiday. Thanksgiving Dinner #2 is on Saturday here with my children and grandchildren. It's so nice to be a YOUNG grandmom! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
Not much shopping to do this year. We all seem to be blessed to have what we need. This year we're gathering up our gently used winter clothing…coats, hats, scarves, sweaters…whatever is in excellent condition but we no longer use…and giving them to both the Women in Crisis Center and the Homeless Shelter. Quite a few of our neighbors have taken to the idea and are helping out. It's amazing what one finds in the back of the closet or the attic. We just pop it in the trunks of our cars and tool along on Mondays and Wednesdays. (No, Sandra…still no brakes. Am holding off as I believe it's a rip-off and a waste of money. I have great faith in down-shifting. And prayers.) <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />
I'm going to modify a little of Sandra's post here:
“I don't do too much but eat, drink several glasses of Baileys, read and watch a few movies these days with a Bottle of Baileys on the table beside me – the last 3 years I have taken to 'pretending' I am away between Christmas and New Year – I put the phone on answering machine and with a large tumbler of Baileys in hand, sit outside under the palm trees by my pool with my little trusty dog.”
That's about it so far…hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! <img src='style_emoticons//wub.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wub.gif’ />
<img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> Hey YOU !! You busted my cover !! OK, OK . . . you have me sussed. You forgot the shot glasses though !! <img src='style_emoticons//cool.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’cool.gif’ />
Thanksgiving over there sounds great – it seems you are all sincere in giving thanks for what you have and that's always a good thing !
You have a great time with your family – I know you will be counting your blessings.
(I also reckon you would have been great living in the Flintstones age concerning your car !!)

Yes, from time to time I do have to crack the car door open while in motion, stick my little foot out and drag my sneaker along the ground to stop completely, but hey…it works! Someday I must take you out for a drive…it's quite an adventure. Best to bring the Baileys along…you'll need a drop or 2 before we stop.
Happy Thanksgiving to All….And to All a Good Night. WAIT…That's Christmas…sorry….
Well it's quiet here too and I hope that Sizzles starts sizzling so I can lose myself in another world…..Cannot join you for the Baileys, although would love to Drown myself in drink! So there you go!
Enjoy your Thanksgiving. Wish we had this here in the U.K. People are thinking once we get a new Government, then hopefully we can give thanks! LOL
Come on Sizzles…..your turn now. Michele did it last time with her idea, or rather Elyse's idea for the Spooky Forest….That was the bet….your turn next..
Now back to my box aka television and later Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!
Yes, title suits but content is absorbing and undeniably addictive….
Addictively yours….
me
<img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ /> What do you mean you can't join us for a Baileys? The TV cannot be as riveting as our company, can it !?! And haven't you ever heard of TiVo?
Michele, I'm guessing you have a relatively flat neighbourhood . . . your little foot out the door would be no use over here as there are too many hills in the journey. Not as bad as San Francisco, but nearly. <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />
NYsizzle, I think you should start the next story with the same post as you ended with in the last one, where they were just sitting around and then the phone rang . . . do they answer the phone or let it go to answer machine ??? <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />
<img src='style_emoticons//unsure.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’unsure.gif’ /> Oh Sandra….what are you doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perhaps you can come up with something but it has to be off the beaten track.
Pool some ideas….where's Margaret, Katita, Michele, Sizzles…. You all decide and take the lead, and I will follow, follow, follow!Thinking…… <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />
<img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> I just gave you my idea ! I ain't taking the lead on this one . . . only one can decide the direction . . . I reckon they should just stay in and relax like all of us this Christmas . . . <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
Okay, I have been thinking. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
First I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving whether you have it in your country or not …… becuase I am thankful to have found this great site and everyone on it. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
Sandra! I want to be where you are! Hot, palm trees and a pool ……. can I move in…… lol <img src='style_emoticons//huh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’huh.gif’ />
Now back to my thinking. How about a Christmas themed story?
Look for the post called “Christmas with Friends”
Hi NY…..if you do move in you will have to share with me, could do with a bit of sun just now….. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE.
Margaret
Hi, and please don't forget me! Would love to join Sandra, but it is such a loooooong journey to get to the Land of Oz…….
Sizzles, if you do start, can you email all of us as I have not been looking in every day and would like to know…… <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />
Nothing seems to be going right lately, so any distraction would help…. Michele, are you there………how about you starting it now also!
Love to you all…….xxxx
Going out to do the lottery! It's a rollover!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here no matter where you live. I'm thankful we still have this site where we can all “talk.” Speaking about talk, sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Its been sort of a mess this month for me, but things are back to normal. I haven't posted due due my local ISP suddenly chose to close business and turn everything off. Yikes, what a mess to change email addresses even though I have a paper-copy master list of my email contacts. Anyway, we are fine now, so what happened next…the trusty 11 year old washer died. When I bought it, it was top of the line, but the repair guy said the motor died, he could get the part the next day and install it a couple of days after that. Dirty laundry was getting out of control. After the repair guy was here, the washer is in tip-top shape and no more dirty laundry! <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> Whew what a couple of weeks.
However, there is a lot to be thankful for. I'm there in spirit alongside Sandra and others by her pool. Notice how I just invited myself to your place Sandra. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> Hey Jacky, here's a pool idea…take a solid, set it out by the pool and see how long it lasts before it starts to melt! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> Just kidding! We have some friends who just came back from visiting Sydney and Melborne Austrailia three weeks ago. They had a real good time in Oz.
Take care everyone,
