So who is going to the IPBA convention this year in Dallas?

I am thinking of attending but am not sure yet, can someone let me know what the Dallas convention is like? I am wondering how far the hotel is from the airport and once at the hotel do you have to travel to get to the convention or is it all self contained in the hotel?

Am I right that the hotel is roughly $135 a night + a registration fee??

OK, I just found my brochure so I have answered my own questions-
the hotel is located 16 miles from the Dallas Fort Worth airport.

I bet attendance will be a little low this year being Passover weekend.

I do have another question for members that sell solids- How do you go about getting the solids to sell there? Do you ship ahead of time or hand carry them on the plane?

Hello everyone! I will be there with lots of solids and compacts for sale! I am driving out, but I have put solids in checked luggage before for previous conventions. I did however take the really good ones on the plane with me, just in case <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

I am so sorry I won't manage this year. I am however going to the Compact Convention. It is a pity they are so close together but not close enough if you know what I mean! <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />
I wish I could make it to Dallas as I love the IPBA. So much to see so many lovely people and so much to buy! <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
I must admit that last year at the Reston convention Texas was having very bad storms and it worried me that it would be the same this year. I see they are going to a glass factory to see scent bottles being made. I would have loved that. I hope all who go have a fantastic time and post here to make us all jealous! Right Woody?
I still have time to win the lottery before the end of the month so all is not yet lost.

The dates for Las Vegas are June 10-12th. It is held at the Boardwalk hotel and they do have special room rates for members who attend the convention. I will soon get all the information posted on the site under the upcoming events tab. <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />

I will be going to Vegas for the first time this year. I can't wait. I still haven't won the lottery so I guess I'll have to make do with reports on this site on the IPBA.

I'm going to miss Dallas this year as it is the same time as my grandson's graduation from University of Utah. I wouldn't miss that even for a perfume bottle or a solid.

I can't believe it! Dallas is close enough for me to drive. The dates are the same as my birthday trip to NYC. I'm gonna miss seeing you all. Maybe I'll drag myself to LV in June.
