The convention was very interesting with many events to attend and participate in. The roundtables and speciality groups were extremely informative and the auction was awesome. The showroom offered the usual mind bogling display and the pajama party was a blast. In spite of the current poor economy the convention was well attended. I, as well as many of the members, stayed extra days to explore the unique southwest country. While the bottle collectors are the main attending members, there were lots of solid perfumes to be found in the showroom as well as in indiviual rooms. I returned with four Estee Lauder solids, two of them important ones I had been seeking for a long time. Also found three unusual solids of different makes and a wonderful old powder compact from the 1940s. And I sold most of the items I had offered for sale. So for me the event was a success. Estee Lauder did not particapate in the convention. Not even to promote any of their current, new or coming products. Perhaps they are cutting back like most businesses have been doing this year.
WISH Y'AWL HAD BEEN THERE.
Thank you for your report from the convention! So good to hear that there are still avid collectors out there <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

Well, maybe I should have said important to me and my collection. One was the Secret Treasure and the other the Affectionate Fish. I have been wanted those for some time and am plesed to add them to my display case.
