Does any have any idea or has anyone heard any hints as to the special solid for the IPBA in Washington this year?
I assume they will have one won't they?

Nothing was mentioned in the paper work from IPBA this year so don't know what they are doing.

Ken & I are going to Roselyn's convention in Las Vegas this year and skipping the IPBA.

Any “special” solid that EL makes for the IPBA convention will be sold at LV also, at least they have in the past.

Good question, Nancy. I'd be interested to hear whether there will be a special solid offered at the IBPA Convention too.

Ann, I'm disappointed to hear that you and Ken will not be at the convention in April. I was looking forward to meeting the both of you.

This will be my first convention and I am really excited about it. Hopefully I will get the opportunity to meet some of our solidperfume.com members too!

With both conventions so close together we had to pick one and the LV has more of what we are interested in.

Dear Ann I am so sorry you won't be there you were so kind to me last year and such a help. I am toying with the idea of Vegas and as you say they are close together. The IPBA is Apr. 29-May2.
The Las Vegas is June 4-6.

I REALLY am trying to be able to go to Las Vegas. Ah Mimi,
Don't be scared to fly. The worst part is having those people go through your bags and having to take your shoes off.
Oh and don't forget you have to take your own vittles unless you want peanuts and a coke. Yummmm.
Listen if I can fly anyone can. I get sick and have to wear the patch behind my ear. Get one of those patches. I'm 12 hours by car and 1 hour by air to Las Vegas. I was there in Oct. and drove home 9 to 9. It was a pretty good drive.

What kind of patch????

The great fun at the airport is sending your carry- on bag that is filled with solids and powder compacts thru the xray. Talk about bells and whistles!!!

Then you have to sit there while they go thru it to figure out what they saw on the xray. It is funny when they pull out a frog or fairy. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

On our last flight I did notice that the only people that they patted down was old & overweight ladies. The patch is a transdermal thingy that looks like a round bandaid. The medicine is scopolamine. That's what the docs use to give the mama's when they had their babies. So I cut it in half and it's pretty strong. You need a prescription from your doc.
It's great it really changed my life and everyone who sat close to me when I fly. It's used by people who take cruises. I'm not that brave yet!

Hi Ann, if you think it's bad going through with your solids you should travel with my husband. He, like a lot of men, likes gadgets. Believe it or not, one holiday in Italy he bought a really nice can-opener He loved the design of it <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ />

Two guards started to question us in rapid italian and when we looked at the screen it did look like a gun. <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ /> Trying to explain that was a right carry-on, eventually we opened the case and produced the offending article.
