I just read an interesting article. Its in this month's “W” magazine on page 120. The article is an interview with Aerin Lauder and she is wearing an “elaborate and eye catching bronze talisman … meant to hold one of the solid fragrance balms …borrowed from the archives.” Lauder states she is thinking about bringing back more than a few classics, fragrance necklaces, about a dozen gold compacts and Lauder-blue boxes of every size and shape. She states she wants to turn back to their heritage, old images, old designs. I wonder what this means?Martha CMemberMarch 19, 2005 at 12:07 pmPost count: 758
“What's old is new again.” Mostlyminis, this is very intriguing news, and I think it will be a nice change. I have always been attracted to the “blue-box” solid perfumes and have a few in my collection. Do you think EL will eventually phase out the figurals? Maybe sooner than we think?BrigitteMemberMarch 19, 2005 at 12:46 pmPost count: 383
thanks for the interesting news. Could you eventually scan the article in order that we all could read it?
Many thanks, BrigitteKKMemberMarch 19, 2005 at 10:38 pmPost count: 876

I would like to see some of the older fragrances like Private Collection put in solids. Also what are “blue-box” solid perfumes.I have not heard that term before.
I like some of the older solids they are quite classy, and yes I also would be interested in reading the article.BrigitteMemberMarch 21, 2005 at 12:37 amPost count: 383mostlyminisParticipantMarch 22, 2005 at 2:52 amPost count: 116
Hi! W is a very oversized magazine, I'll try to type up the article (its not that long) and get it posted. I'm pretty sure I can't scan it.LisaMemberMarch 23, 2005 at 3:24 pmPost count: 2664
Right now we cannot post the article due to copyright laws but we are waiting to see if the article shows up on the W web site so that we can link to it.
A big thanks to Mostlyminis for letting us all know about the article.
