She was up for $1200.00 on a BIN.

Don't know if she was bought or not, or how she compares to this one . . .

I wasn't keen about the princess until I saw her in person at an EL function at Neimans. Then I thought ,well maybe. Finally after I had somehow gathered most of the ivory series, including the Imperial Panda (now there is an ugly one if you ever saw ugly, rare but ugly), I decided I had to have her. She's okay.
The shiny bright red on the robe of the ebay one does make me wonder if it is just the camera light or has been touched up. If I were going to bid I sure would ask the seller about it first.

You're absolutely right, Phyllis. I've done a “print screen” on the photo, put it into my photo editing program, enlarged the picture and there is absolutely NO GRAIN or definition to the red stripe (or anywhere) on her robe.

How to do a print screen: Go to the photo on eBay, click on enlarge.
Then: Hold down the Control (Ctrl) key and the little “prt scr/sysrq” key at the same time. You've now “captured” the image.
Next: Go to your “Start” button on the bottom tray of your screen.
Next: Click on “Start,” “Programs,” “Accessories,” “Paint.”
Next: Go to “Edit” and “Paste” the “Print Screen” into it. Then enlarge it.

You may be able to distinguish better the red part of her robe. No definition that I can find…anyone else?

I do not think it's fake…but I do believe it's been re-painted a very high gloss. Almost looks like bright red nail polish. But…we don't know that for sure…have to see what the new owner thinks. Hopefully he/she will post here and let us know, but that's a lot of money if it is a re-paint.

So sorry Michele! Didn't mean to insult “our” Bob. But everytime I look at his No Name twin I just can't bring myself to tell him he is beautiful. I try hard not to tell lies even to inanimate objects.

No Michele – I mean the Imperial Panda (not shown in the Gerson book). I was going to name it Cathy but it is just too homely to be female. It is on the same shelf as my Imperial Princess. They are quite a pair. I am still looking for a the older Red Foo dog and the Sleeping Cat to complete my ivory case. Missed the cat on ebay yesterday because I was too stingy (cheap?) to enter a large enough bid. Not concerned – another one is sure to appear. Hopefully when my budget is not so stressed. As if that ever happens <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

The Princess is gone. I saw that she went for $1585.89 with 10 bidders. sigh.

As the princess is worth a house payment, unfortunately I have to have a roof to one day cover an Imperial Princess' head! LOL!

BTW the cat does look like its scratching fleas and the poor imperial panda looks like he is dazed. Maybe he ate too much bamboo and is in a food coma? hmmm…makes you wonder what some of the compact designers were thinking. But then again, styles do change about once a year! LOL!

LOL! A really LARGE house payment, mansion payment perhaps!

Both my contented cat, TJ and my pampered pekingese, Brittney do that same scratch sans the fleas. I think it's just like us scratching our heads…

LOL I meant scratching our heads like an itch, but once I read that back to myself I imagined myself dazed standing there scratching my head. Yikes I am turning into the scratching contented cat with no fleas!!!!

Speaking of fleas. I love the Frontline commercial where the little dog sings “Ain't no fleas on me, ain't no fleas on me! Some of you mugs got plenty of bugs, but there ain't no fleas on me!” It is so cute! I bet his little song has made Frontline a mansion payment or two! LOL!

I would love to see EL come out with a tan and a black pomeranian puppy solid. I think they would be adorable to add to the doggie solids!
