Palm Trees and Cold = Contradiction in Terms! lol:)
More blankets for the Palm Trees, turn up the heat and brace yourselves!
Take care…stay warm…
Michele
Well here in London, I have just come home in a blizzard! The snow has settled, and it has actually been lightening too! Have take some pictures with the digital, but as it is evening, doubt they will come out.
Expect Nancy and Maggie are nearly one foot under too!! <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ />
Martha, take care! Make some snowballs and see if Charlie chases after them. Jamie (my King Charles Cavalier) used to love doing that….
Lori, I bought my small Vivitar digital in the States. It was really cheap. Now all the decent photographs I had on my computer have vanished since it went for repair! KK do you store yours on disc. Am really fed up that mine have gone!
There was one I wanted to send Mark of the Japanese Garden in Regent's Park!<img src='style_emoticons//cool.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’cool.gif’ />
Jacky – glad to see you are back online. We missed hearing from you. Well, the party is over here. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> We had to go back to work today as the roads are clear now. I had a good two days off. I played with my solid perfumes and set up different displays and took a few pictures with my 35 mm. Martha – good idea about getting a cd made when I get them developed. That had actually crossed my mind.
<img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ /> Thank you Pat. Missed you too! Really had withdrawal symptons and trying to read and write something quickly in the Internet Cafe is something not to be recommended on a daily basis! Managed to catch up on some reading and……early nights! So now it's back to the grindstone! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
Think we will have snow all night so chaos reigns for tomorrow!
Hi Jacky, well, we had snow today but not much. Of course it would have to happen just as I was about to go out to a meeting! I got soaked, my brolly was blown outside in and it was mad. It didn't last but turned to slush and no doubt will freeze up overnight. Oh well, soon be the week-end.
Glad to see you're back with us Jacky. I agree it is murder being without your computer.Nancy
Hi Nancy, Cannot believe we have had more snow than you in Scotland! It came down in torrents (not flurries) and I have never seen snow settle so fast. Of course, I didn't take the brolley, so arrived home like a drowned rat!
Seems like we are all in the same boat as some of our friends on the other side of the ocean! <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ />
What's snow??
Also, what's ice on the streets?? I only get to see ice like little cubes when I make it in the freezer . . . <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
Weather report down here is: FINE and SUNNY for the next year at least!!
GET YOURSELF ON A PLANE AND COME OVER! I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT SNOW IS IF YOU MOVE FAST ENOUGH!
CHEEKY LITTLE THING! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
Oh-oh I'm in trouble!! <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ />
Ahh – it'll probably have melted by the time I get there!!! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
Hi all, I didn't even know it snowed in Scotland and the U.K., shame on me! I am surrounded by 15 inches of Snow and I even took pictures of it!
Maybe I should send a picture of Snow to Sandra? Ha, ha, ha!
By the way, I buy Blank CD's to back up my Computer as I once lost everything on my hard drive and I don't want that to happen again. They don't cost much and it doesn't take very long to copy everything to a CD.
Still waiting for Spring to arrive,
DeniseI DIDN'T LIKE LOSING EVERYTHING ON MY HARD DRIVE! SO FROM NOW ON, I WILL MAKE SURE TO DO WHAT YOU SUGGEST DENISE. SOMEHOW ONE NEVER THINKS THAT IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN!
YES, WE DO HAVE SNOW AND WHERE NANCY LIVES, IT IS VERY VERY COLD! I LIVE IN THE HEART OF LONDON SO NORMALLY IT IS MUCH WARMER HERE.
STILL, WE HAVEN'T 15INCHES YET! THE MIND BOGGLES….
<img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />
SEND A PICTURE TO SANDRA! SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHE'S MISSING! <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ />
Hello to everyone,
you wouldn't believe, but there is snow even in Tuscany
Brigitte
OH BRIGITTE!!
How beautiful! Thank you so much for sending us this lovely photo. Tuscany must be gorgeous, no matter what the weather.
It's cold tonight here in Texas… no snow.
Best to you,
Mimi <img src='style_emoticons//wub.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wub.gif’ />
I'm jealous. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ />
I lived in Texas all my life. We rarely see snow here. We are such whimps here that if you see one snow flake, school closes!
Right now it's cold–low in the 40s. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> I had the AC on earlier this month.
Ahhh . . . that white fluffy stuff . . . . I remember getting a little thing you shake and it goes like that picture of Brigitte's.
All lovely, but I'm sorry I can't share your misery of the cold . . . I can't fathom below 16deg CELCIUS!!
But I can say that when it gets over 40deg Celcius here, that's when we're supposed to close schools . . . but it rarely happens . . . . we sweat it out. No a/c here unless you work in a swanky office or are rich . . . .
