Lisa, Jack and Ron, So Glad that you got through it OK! Sounds
bad enough but could have been much worse. Sorry Lisa and Jack about your baby being all shook up! And of course you still managed to put pictures up for us even through your big mess! Thanks

Glad everyone is ok after the Hurricane.
We were in a really bad Hurricane in the Dominican Republic in 1998.
We had no electricty or water, the roof of the bar and restaurant caved in, a tree uprooted and landed in the swimming pool and hundreds were killed.
We got flown to another part of the island after 2 days.
It still doesn't put me off wanting to move to Florida.
    All I need is a job offer and I will be there <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
So if anybody knows of any Sales Vacancies in Florida Pllllease let me know.
    Thanks all
    Maggie <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />

Maggie, I'll trade with you! I'd love to move to Europe but I doubt I'll convince Lisa!

Hi all – have just returned from a couple of weeks holiday in Mexico and Cuba, so I was able to follow the storms quite regularly on the news. It began as a huge worry, didn't it? What a piece of luck it calmed down a lot before it hit the US mainland.

Fortunately for me I escaped every bit of nasty weather and only had brilliant days of sunshine. However, I was concerned for those I know from this site who reside in Florida particularly and am very relieved to hear that they are 'unscathed' so to speak.

Good to be back 'home' safe in Oz and 'talking to ya' again.

    (Thanks for the welcome back Jacky – I saw it) <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

    To all in Florida:

So very glad that you are OK! You guys amaze me with how calm you stayed. Even though I live in earthquake country, hurricanes scare me more.
Here's praying that Ivan misses you guys.

Hugs and wishing you a quick storm recovery.

    This is Erica from Japan.
Thank you for those who felt concern for me/us! Though there occured a gigantic earthquake and many typhoons in Japan, I'm fine. September is “a typhoon month”, so we still need the precaution. <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />
Hope everyone here is fine, too, as usual.

    I don't think Lisa will agree to that somehow Maggie! <img src='style_emoticons//cool.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’cool.gif’ />

Meanwhile Jack, any news you have on IVAN would be appreciated. My niece and family are leaving here on Monday for Miami and I am worried about them. My relatives still have no telephone……………..

Any news would be appreciated although I am checking the Hurricane Warning Website!

Here are the best tracking sites I have found. A lot of it is meaningless unless you are a meteorologist, but there is still a lot that is understandable by us commonfolk!

    Crown Weather Hurricane Tracking Site

    Tracking Map for Ivan

BoatUS Hurricane Info (Well done and simple)

To all those in the path of these huriicanes, glad you are able to keep everyone updated on your safety, and glad to hear that you have all been relativley safe from harm.
Now it looks like it's the west coast of FL turn for winds etc.

Anyone wanting or needing to track the storm can check the noaa.gov website. They have live radr images, loops and all kinds of interesting things on the site.

    God Bless & Keep everyone,

    Karen
