Just checked the weather this morning and sounds like things might be going a bit better with the hurricane weakening, so will hope for the best! Batten down those hatches and put those solids in a safe place! Besides, Lisa and Phyllis, you two have survived the room sales at the perfume convention! What's a little 'ol hurricane compared to that! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />
All kidding aside, stay safe and keep up updated as you can.

So we know that my relatives, Ron, Lisa and Jack and Phyllis are right in the firing line. So good to hear that for the moment it has quietened down.
Jack thanks for the link!
If there is anyone else in the midst of this, sending you the knowledge that you are not alone. Take care!

When this is all over, and it will be over, could you (Ron, Phyllis, Jack & Lisa) let us know that you're all ok? Also, if you need anything or if we can be of any help, can you let us know that also?
Thinking of you…worrying….hoping for the best…
Wishing everyone who is in the hurricane's path a safe passage. Please keep us posted and let us know you're safe.
Well, here is what we did today- sat outside with neighbors, grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and drank beer. <img src='style_emoticons//tongue.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’tongue.gif’ />
We experienced quite a few power surges today.
So far we only had two feeder bands which produced 15 minutes of rain. The storm was going to hit at 4:00am this morning but is now set for Saturday at 2:00pm.
The good news is for now the storm has been reduced from a catagory 4 down to a catagory 2 with winds of 96-100 better than winds of 131-155! <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ />

Hello all from Winter Haven. The outer bands of Frances have started to come thru here. It is moving so slow that it still will be around 12 hours before it comes thru here. Hopefuly this time the electricity will not be out.
I see that 4 mil people are without power in Florida currently. and been keeping an eye on the storm via the internet news and NOAA website.
Hope everyone in Florida is safe and sound. Watching news from Chicago and worried sick about freinds & family.
My prayers are with all those in the path of this humungous storm.
Stay safe, stay dry and God keep you!
Karen
Wishing everyone in Florida is okay during Hurricane Frances, not to mention the aftermath of Charley and this current hurricane.
I also wish our members from Japan are okay after their giantic Earthquake.
Mother Nature is really acting up…… <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />

Hi All:
Thanks a jillion for all the prayers and concern from members. We came through the storm better than was expected. Only had a few nervous minutes when the windows started rattling and thought they might break. Just got a little water inside on the sills. It is still windy and rainy but danger is over at our location. Am very grateful not to have lost electricity. Florida's hot, humid September temps don't get scared away by a hurricane and living with out A/C is a real bummer, particularly when working hard to clean up storm damage. Been there, done that.
Still looking for my brother who lives in West Palm Beach but know that the area lost phone service and power big time.Am concerned about Lisa, Jack and Ron as they were in tougher parts of the storm. If they lost their power we might hear from them right away.
Really appreciated all your support. Love to you all.
Phyllis
Whoops – Meant to say we might not hear from Lisa & Ron right away.
Phyllis, so glad you're okay and with power! <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> Thanks so much for checking in and letting us know you're alright. Now, to wait and hear from Ron, Lisa and Jack and our other members from Florida.
Thank you all for your concern. Right now the wind is blowing and rain is still falling. The eye has passed by and we are just getting the outer bands. There are some houses without electricity but no trees down like with Charley. Once again Thanks
