    HI Everyone,

This will be last chance to see what is happening in the perfume world for a while. I'm just sitting here waiting on Dennis. I live just on the outskirts of Pensacola and it looks like it is coming to visit. I can't believe we are getting hit again so soon. I still don't have all the repairs finished from the last storm. So far a little light wind and light rain but I know the worsts is yet to come. Hope to check in with the site again soon. Mimi thanks for keeping my kitty safe until after the storm!

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for the concern but we were passed by Dennis- just had lots of wind and rain.

This storm looks like a bad one and my thoughts are with all those that live on the Gulf coast as I know how devastating a storm of this magnitude can be.

Donna stay safe and sorry you have to go through this again.

Thanks Everyone, This one was nothing like Ivan. We have a llittle fence down and a tree but no big deal. There are some folks though that have devastating damage. Even though the storm wasn't as horrible as everyone thought it was going to be, for some people it was. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> But everyone has it together this time and most things are returned to normal already. I just had the internet to come back on last night. No eBay for six days! But fortunately we only went without power for 2 1/2 days. (Last time was 8 days) You really appreciate your air conditioning when you have to live without it. It was very HOT! Donna

    Donna,

Glad to hear Dennis was too damaging for you. I understand completely about not having power for even one day!

This year we had an electrician wire a panel to our home so the generators can be plugged right into it and we will have power to our kitchen and lights but no central air, going to look into a portable AC unit for cooling one room.

Thank goodness we put up accordion shutters before any of the storms hit (5 years ago) at the time we spent around $8000 to have the whole house done except for the front of the house (home owners association will not allow the front of homes to be done with accordian shutters) my neighbor with the same model home of me got a quote for the same shutters and the cost this year was $15,000!! Ourtageous of how the prices have skyrocketed and the company cannot guarentee installation of the shutters this year and I have heard that some companies are so busy that they will not even call you back.

Hi Lisa, are you talking about a solar panel? I think that's a great idea, especially with the amount of sun you get. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> I wish more people thought about things like this. Hate to say it but George Bush doesn't do much to help global warming and that could be a cause of more hurricaines like Dennis! <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />

    Hard to believe – just saw that Cancun was being bashed by a hurricane too . . . . this is where I spent a lovely, lovely holiday last year . . . <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />

And I realise how lucky I was avoiding last year's hurricanes . . . . I feel for all the holiday makers (and residents!) of all the places being hit by Mother Nature and other atrocities around the world.

Take care and take cover, everybody!!

Glad to hear you are safe and sound and out of harms way.
    Lisa that's what you get for planning ahead. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
    One good thing is we weren't in Las Vegas today it's 116. Mamamia! <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//cool.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’cool.gif’ />
And 130 <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ /> in Death Valley, CA. They were frying eggs on the side walk. I bet the water was boiling. I just can't image that kind of heat. 120 is the hottest weather I've been in. That was in Yuma,AZ and it was staggering and took your breath away. It was cool here today only 103! <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />
