Hi Queenie,
Your opening photo is adorable. It that Eloise? When I was in NYC the Plaza Hotel was shutting down for renovation. I bought some goodies in the gift shop. One was the Madame Alexander doll Eloise.

Hi Mimi and KK and everyone,
I love this dollhouse because it was handmade by my Uncle John. He made it from
plans from an actual house that was in a book from the Newark Public Library.
The house is similiar to the one we live in, ours was made in the early 1900's and
so was the dollhouse original. The sofa is almost exact copy of the one in our parlor and we have a corner fireplace in our livingroom. My husband does cooling and heating as his business so our fireplace has gas logs that works as the dollhouse was completely wired for electricity by Jerry and I. The diningroom has a fireplace also which has a flickering affect to represent flames.
I made the crewel pillows in the front parlor of the dollhouse as I have done several crewel artworks before for our own house. The doll in the chair is made by an Ohio black woman artist whom use to sell at dollhouse shows.
It is made from art clay as the fairies on ebay. I also purchased a man from the same lady. She did excellent work her pieces are signed and dated.
Darla Knox is her name, I don't attend dollhouse/miniature shows anymore,
so I don't know if she still produces these little people anymore or not.
I took my Uncle John to a dollhouse show one time and he liked it. He always bought and sold dollhouses he had purchased at yard sales until he did this huge one which I ended up buying from him.
Oh! I forgot to mention the dollhouse is so huge my husband and I could not get it into our house so in is in our store next to our home. My Uncle John built it on a platform and I did want to cut it down.

Thanks Pamela. Loved reading! Everytime I open up the front page, I have to take a second look at the ''little person'' reclining in the chair. The Saks bag makes me smile <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ /> Have been shopping today and feel like ''Eloise''.

KK I have fond memories of the Plaze Hotel. I used to work for the group (HCA and later, Sonesta Hotels). Wish I could remember the name of the suite which I stayed in whilst there.

Jacqueline glad the photo makes you smile! It does make me happy to create something that people can relate to and enjoy.
I remember shopping with my mother and feeling like that doll when I got home.
My mother has been gone for alot of years but that special doll reminds me of her and our times together. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Hi Queenie, and thanks for sharing your Dolls house with us.
This is another passion of mine anything minature. The detail that goes into these things is truly amazing.

I have completed a kit Dollshouse (the kind you get week by week .It took nearly 2 years to collect the parts) and thoroughly enjoyed putting it together.
I am looking to start another one soon just can't decide what design I like best.
I love them all!!!!

Thanks to all of you for such lovely comments.
I must admit it is a great passion of mine dollhouses
and I am glad you all enjoyed the photos.
I have another one which is smaller and once I finish it,
probably later this year I'll put some photos up of it.

I take it Jack doesn't help with the wallpapering?
Jerry and I got into an argument at our last house
when we wallpapered a room together. <img src='style_emoticons//mad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’mad.gif’ /> It ended up
we hired someone to finish the job and when we were
all done we noticed the wallpaper pattern was upside down. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />
Sometimes you should just leave well enough alone.
