HI everyone. There was mention of a Holt Renfrew solid at the convention and a new shopping bag has turned up on Ebay for $350. I am not sure what the issue price is. Does anyone know?

I just called Holt Renfrew. The shopping bags are $250 Canadian and are available for order now. The Toronto store is already sold out, but is expecting some in soon.

I just ordered mine from the Ottawa store – phone # 613-238-2200 from Maria at the Estee Lauder counter.

There's one on Ebay with the opening bid at $350 – too much!!!
You can buy it from the store for less.

I just won one of the older Turtles on Ebay. The hunt continues…

Just spoke to Maria and the superviser at the EL counter and they stated that they will no longer ship to the US as the solids are being held at customs for months and a lot of trouble for the customers so they are getting complaints and the office want to stop all shipping to US.

They will ship to a Canada address so they said for all of us get together and come up with a Canadian address and make the order . They will waive the shipping to the Canadian address.

So does anyone has a Canadian friend that would recieve the order and then ship to us ??? Or does anyone have a better idea I would like to have one of the solids.

I called three Holt Renfrew stores yesterday. Montreal wouldn't even take the order – shipping was too difficult. Toronto will take an order, but they don't have any solids in stock and would call me back so we didn't discuss shipping. I did place an order with Vancouver, until they quoted a $100 shipping fee and wanted my SS # for customs clearance <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ /> I will pass I think.

I placed an order Monday morning at a store still waiting for their shipment. I spoke to the store's EL manager. She didn't ask for my SS# or quote a shipping fee. I asked about customs and she told me there shouldn't be a problem. We shall see…

I work for Federal Express, and I don't understand what the problem in customs could be. All the shpr has to do is fill out a commercial invoice. It states what the item is and what it is worth. There should be no problem, we ship hundreds of pkgs to Canada daily. And as for the $100 shpg fee, we don't even charge that much. Obviously Holt Renfrew is not a customer oriented store, as say a Nordstroms is in the US. They either don't want or know how to do the paperwork, or want to make a killing for doing it.

Hello all !

Just in case someone is looking for a “red” solid perfume container <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ /> :
The color of this solid perfume is not red but a shade of (dark) fuchsia.
On my computer screen the picture/s on eBay show a red color.
The accents (handles, logo etc.) are silvertone.
I hope my picture below shows it well.

Hi Astrid, in American we have Social Security numbers (SS#) – they follow us all through life. It's like our national retirement fund. You should never give it out to have something shipped to you from another country – I buy international all the time and no one has ever asked me for my SS#.

Yes, of course, it's social security #, I know that but somehow my brain was absent I think <img src='style_emoticons//rolleyes.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’rolleyes.gif’ />
Why would one want to know this for shipping/customs ? People sometimes really have very
strange ideas … If I buy in the US (= international) no one ever asked me for my ID card #
or passport #.
