    Hi, Everyone!

It has been a LONG time since I visited and am glad to see some familiar names here.

I have not been active at all with my collection of solids over the last few years. In fact, I am contemplating selling some of my treasured Harrods Bears. Before I do, I want to get a feel for what they are going for. I am considering listing them on eBay but thought I should visit here first since these bears are highly collectible and would be appreciated here.

In my collection of have the highly coveted Rodney Bear from the first year. I haven't decided yet whether I will part with it and would like to get your thoughts on what you think the value is.

I have all the other years with the exception of 2004 and the most recent one.

Any thoughts before I take the plunge?

If you prefer to contact me via email, my address is: jstieringe@aol.com

    Thanks, Jeanette

<img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> I for one think the 2001 Rodney bear is invaluable ! He is worth a mint and I haven't seen him up for auction anywhere in a while. The last time I saw him (over a year ago) he went for quite a bit !

The other bears should also sell well, but probably not as high as the first one.
    Good luck !! <img src='style_emoticons//cool.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’cool.gif’ />

Agree Sandra. I personally think the best time to sell the bears is approaching Christmas. I have Giles and will probably not wait until then but that is due to the fact that I am making space for my new-found collections and do not want any doubles lying around here. That includes my Harrods Van (have two now).

Rodney is one to keep (and I can hear everyone yelling at me as it would be fantastic to see him come up on Ebay) and also the Harrods Handbag (one which I have but unboxed and not for sale). I was lucky to find that one as I sold my boxed one when I was quite Greeeeeen as a newbie! I made two mistakes: Exchanged my Rodney for two solids which were a joke, and secondly selling my boxed Harrods Handbag! Am older and wiser now with lots of Heartbreak along the way!

    That's another story for later <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />

I'm with you girls on the Harrods solids. I finally added Rodney MIBB to my collection this past January and I'm so glad I finally found him. There was one on Ebay around Christmas, as a BIN of $1200. He didn't sell, no wonder in this economy. I found mine through a private seller at a much better price. There was a Rodney on Ruby Lane for $1250 which sold, just crazy. I wanted him, but not that badly. My collection of the Harrods Bears is finally complete. I am curious what Harrods' will release this fall. Any ideas anyone???

Haven't seen anything exciting as yet! There was a time when Harrods used to make contact (i.e. Estee Lauder) but I shall be making a point to visit and speak to the Manager to discuss items related to our IPBA here in UK, so perhaps will start receiving news thereonafter!!!!!!!

The only new one I have seen to date is the Anniversary Solid which was up on Ebay and which Woody has sent pictures of. Apart from that, everything is slow possibly due to the credit crunch biting and people not wanting to spend too much. On this point, am so pleased to see that our solids are regaining their value and the good ones selling high again! Long may it last and I doubt they will go down now. So from hereonafter it's got to be up, up, up and away!

So Buy now or Pay later!

My favourite teddy is the blue 2004 one.

    Haven't got it though!!! <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

    I too would keep hold of Rodney, he sounds like a bit of a pension fund. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Thanks for all the feedback. I truly appreciate it. I sold all my Harrods bears with the exception of Rodney. He's a keeper.

    With kind regards, Jeanette
