Well, I had my first magnet fall out of a solid … and guess which one? The Bird Bath!!! I'm convinced the factory simply ran out of glue when making my Bird Bath (the poor thing). Anyway, the magnet didn't exactly fall out, but came unglued and stuck itself to the other magnet. It took me a while to realize where it had gone! /tongue.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’tongue.gif’ /> The nearest Sak's is 5 hours away Petals

    Dear Martha –

With all due respect to your Southern gentility, ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FREAKIN' MIND???

    There…now I feel better….

Ok…here's what you must do now…pack that puppy up, write a short note explaining all the “maintenance” required for the Birdbath, total up the cost of your trips to Home Depot and the equipment needed to repair said Birdbath, tell Estee Lauder about the “little problems” that have arisen, AND GET IT TO THE POST OFFICE TOMORROW! They will, I'm sure, send you a nice, new, unrepaired Birdbath with all parts intact and upright.

At the same time, I would request “extra parts” just in case they're needed in the future.

Next, call your doctor and request a brain scan, or at least an MRI. You've taken “being nice” and raised it to an art form…it's making the rest of us (especially me) look really, really bad!

    There…are you happy now?….I've responded! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

    Michele,

You do make me laugh <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> and livened up a dull Sunday afternoon. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> I would not recommend anyone else fixing their magnet if this happens, but the little Bird Bath has become somewhat dear to me, cannot explain it. Maybe I do need a brain scan! <img src='style_emoticons//tongue.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’tongue.gif’ /> Oh, well, glad to see you back and in form!

    Hi Jacky –

I'm sure Estee Lauder will just send Martha something out of the blue, like maybe some glue and a screwdriver…possibly a wrench or 2. Let's not forget the EXTRA LARGE MAGNET for those times when one's original magnet attacks it's mate, and one simply cannot pull it off to save one's life (or one's solid!) <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ />

    And Dear Martha –

When you arise in the morning, do you first check out your solid collection to see which one's are intact and which one's have self-destructed while you slept? Must you get up early and get out your “solid tool-box” (there's an idea) before coffee? Oh…my heart can't take it! <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ /> How can any day be dull when you can look forward to repairing that d%* Birdbath? I'd be afraid to get up in the morning…it's really starting to get on my nerves, and right about now I'm working with my very last nerve.

However, if this makes you happy, more power to you. The fact that you have made me a total wreck is irrelevant…I'll deal with it…but when you come downstairs some morning and the Birds have flown the coop, I don't want to know! <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />

    Now, I'm logging off….And Jacky…you know I'll be around as long as the sun shines…or the moon is full…whichever lasts longest. <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />

    Hi
I think you should return it because if you ever want to sell it you won't have to worry about explaining that it was repaired. It's the best value for you that way, IMHO <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />

I admire you Martha for your 'no fuss fix it yourself' job on the magnet, however I would be miffed if that happened to mine . . . then again I rarely open any of mine, so I wouldn't know if the magnets were loose or not!

Anyway, good on ya, but next time – yeah, I'd complain!
