Filling your empty solids

Wanted to say thanks to Lisa for the info on making the solid perfume! I printed off the ad, got all the ingredients, except the vanilla oil – the most expensive, and made the first one today! As a trial, I just combined the Jojoba oil with some EL pleasures fragrance and added that to the melted beeswax and it came out great!! I just wanted to fill up some of the empty solids in my collection!

If anyone would like me to fill an empty solid in your collection, I would happy to. (you’d cover shipping to/from my place in CA and $5 per solid would cover my cost for the ingredients. I can make the fragrance per the recipe (non-estee) or I can make it with any of the other EL fragrances if preferred. Just indicate which fragrance you want in what solid. It’s so much fun! Glad I have the time for this now! (I’m not filling my solids with the intent to resell and/or deceive others who may buy from me, this is just for fun and to add a little more beauty to your existing collection!) If I ever resold a solid I filled myself, I would disclose that info.

I’m just wondering why EL never got on board with refilling the empty solids? Not profitable for them?

Look a collector was selling Estee Lauder “Pleasures” solid perfume refills back in 2003 for $5 plus shipping. Guess my price isnt so bad after 7 years. Come on ladies lets jump on this just as was done to me.

Petals should we close down the site since the founder told her where to find the ad with the recipe?

First of all, this sounds more like a hobby to me. Something she did for fun (IN 2003, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE) and for the members.

Secondly, she was honest enough to post this statement:

“If I ever resold a solid I filled myself, I would disclose that info.”

Have any other sellers of refills lent full disclosure to their auctions? I didn't think so.

No, actually it's shipping. And you would be wise to add her description to your auctions. Excuse me…your SISTER'S auctions. 🙄

Nowhere does lauderlover state it's an actual, original Estee Lauder fragrance. She's very clear about that, which is more than I can say about the auctions on ebay.

Looks like it says “you'd cover shipping AND $5 would cover ingredients” …… UMMMM THAT IS SELLING THE INGREDIENTS (PRODUCT)and ….”or I can make it with any of the other EL fragrances if preferred” ….UMMMM THAT IS USING ESTEE LAUDER PERFUME.

Same thing as selling the item and using EL perfumes which is what our auction says.

Guess you dont realize this yet but I am just a stubborn as you when it comes to defending my position on something so sure everyone can continue to watch this space ……… and I would value anyone's matter.

So ladies and gentlemen ……. was lauderlver doing the sdame thing as my sister? What do you think?

Hello to everyone,

I was hoping one of these topics was enough and now another one is running.

I must admit I don't like to read this very personal accusings and offending each other.

PLEASE STOP IT !!!!!

According to my humble opinion there are many ohter much more instersting things to be discussed on this site.

To read the posts always made me happy, I could learn some things that I didn't yet know and I had a lot of fun with “the stories” (Bob & Lola) that were written and the great pictures we were offered from Ann & Ken.

The bird looks alot like last years golden bird with a crest like a cardinal. Donna sent the sheet with the new ones on it if anyone didn't get a copy let us know and we will put it on here.

Yes Ann and Ken. You beat me to it in asking has anyone seen the new fall/holiday solids. In various years past, new ones started to show up in Neiman Marcus and Saks stores around the middle or so of July here in the States. So if the offer still stands Ann and Ken, you have my vote in putting up the sheet from Donna. Bring it on! 😉 Also because I do not live anywhere near these stores and since various salespeople I have dealt with from both stores have moved on, my name has been dropped from their lists 😡 , anything you folks have to share is really appreciated by me.
