Hi everyone!
I complained about the new powder compacts but it doesn't feel all that good to be so negative. Furthermore, I have noticed that suggestions for solids have come up in other discussions. And I think it would be fun to see what ideas you may come up with. Hopefully, we can be an inspiration for the designers instead of a critical judging bunch of grunts (I'm speaking about myself here).

My first contribution to this topic is a wish for a water lily solid. I have the perfect picture of it inside my head…

Well, I sure managed to inspire myself.
How about a late victorian bodouir interior: a decorated pedestal table with those gorgeously upholstered sofas and armchairs?
I also had this thought about song-birds on tree branches, for example lark, blackbird, nightinggale and bullfinch AND the matching powder compacts with the tree leaves: aspen, birch, oak and maple.
As for powder compacts, I would love to see the series of butterfly compacts with lots of irridescent enamel with for instance the peacock and brimstone butterflies.
Ok, I do have a very boring job.

I really like your ideas, I think the water lilly would be fantastic!

Your ideas are lovely. Would also love to see a song-bird (preferably a finch) on a Japanese Maple – gorgeous trees. And the boudoir theme is also a favorite. We keep hoping EL will read and pay attention…one never knows!

Am also partial to the Water Lily, as Lisa is. Not to worry…members are reading. We're just being quiet…it's too hot to be perky! <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ />

oooops…before I'm accused of being anti-American by anyone, let me clear something up. I ALSO love regular, basic green All-American Maple trees, Spruce, Walnut, plus Cherry Trees, Magnolia, Dogwood (nothing religious here….just Dogwood trees because their blossoms are so very pretty)… <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

A hand with long red fingernails and crystal ring

A perfume bottle with graduating purple, pink and silver crystals.

I do hope that EL feel free to be inspired by all our suggestions without having to worry about copy rights. My ideas are certainly for free, after all one would be rewarded with a dream come true, right?

Another one: An old sewing machine and as the matching powder compact one ornamented with needle and thread, thimble and scissors, that would be great wouldn't it?

I am really looking forward to the lipstick solid!! And the oval hand mirror!!

Greyhound – The Chocolate Sundae is a terrific idea. Hot Fudge, preferably!

The Jukebox is also a great idea. EL would probably use the same prototype as the Slot Machine and hopefully they have their enamels straightened out.

Well, if EL is never going to produce these solids, why don't we all chip in and place an order at the Victoria Co. for a Solidperfume.com Collector's Super Exclusive Extra Limited Edition… I am just dying for a chocolate sundae solid. The only problem is how to get them filled with perfume…

I think that's where the “Canada” thing comes in. Has anyone noticed that all of the white outer boxes say “Made in Canada.” Does this mean the BOX is made in Canada…or the solid…or the perfume?

Meanwhile, am going to the nearest ice cream shop for a REAL Hot Fudge Sundae…with extra fudge. Or, as the Fudgie-Wudgie Man on the beach says….”A minute on your lips…a lifetime on your hips!” It's worth it! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />
