Did you know that there is a tiny rose on the end of the spoon handle of the teacup just like the tiny rose on the Petite Four? Both of these solids were issued in the same year 1998.KarinMemberApril 15, 2005 at 4:30 amPost count: 209
I had to check my international teacup and it had a small rose on the end of the spoon too. Can't believe I haven't noticed that, it is so cute. You have such an eye for details, Lisa! Thank you for bringing attention to it!!

Lisa, I love threads like these. Karin is right, you have a terrific eye for detail. Now I want to re-examine all my solids to see what's been overlooked. So glad you finally got the Teacup!!!
The Petit-Four is a beautiful little solid … hmmmm … my next purchase?LisaMemberApril 15, 2005 at 8:06 pmPost count: 2664
Ever notice what is written on the labels? Here are two snail compacts with the same fragrance (White Linen) but different labels. One of the labels has the name of the solid-Snail while the other does not.VEGAS LADYMemberApril 15, 2005 at 8:15 pmPost count: 976
ONE OF THE DETAILS I LIKE BEST IS THE LITTLE TINY STALK ON TOP OF THE CHERRY PIE…..JUST SO SWEET <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Yes, that is a great detail!
Another good one is the letters and packages on the inside of the Harrods post box.VEGAS LADYMemberApril 15, 2005 at 9:31 pmPost count: 976
I ALSO LIKE THE GREEN CRYSTAL BLINDS ON THE HARRODS PALACE

The teapot and tea cup are so cute. I don't remember the rose. However, I noticed the petit four for sure. Thanks for pointing it out.
I just need to buy the US versions of all 3. Funny how I have all the international versions.
The Harrods post box is not my favorite solid, but I love the extra detail.LisaMemberApril 16, 2005 at 1:44 amPost count: 2664
Did you ever notice that the only solid (larger version) in the circus theme that has no movement is the rockin rollercoaster? All the others in this theme move- the circus tent, ferris wheel and caged lion.
If you look closely at the rollercoaster it looks like at one point the cars were designed to roll around the track.LisaMemberApril 17, 2005 at 3:46 pmPost count: 2664
Ever notice other solids other than the slot machine, princess pump, igloo, bubbly and white enameled solids discoloring?Martha CMemberApril 17, 2005 at 5:17 pmPost count: 758
My pig looks like he took a mud bath. He's no longer pink, but brown. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />LisaMemberApril 17, 2005 at 8:12 pmPost count: 2664
Yup Martha, mine too! One is really pink and the other looks peachy orange.PetalsMemberApril 17, 2005 at 8:13 pmPost count: 2373
Martha your pig looks awful! My pig is pink! Both pigs actually. Have one standing and one sitting. Meanwhile my Stuart Weitzman shoes have yellowed a little, and I didn't walk to the sty in them. (Pig Sty)! Trying to think of some others that have discoloured. We all know about the Slot Machine and it was really interesting to read in another posting about the perfume probably being the culprit of the discolouration.
If I come across a lovely 'pink' pig at a reasonable price, I will send him to you Martha.

I have just noticed something now that Lisa has posted a picture. All the pigs have the silver trim whereas mine have the gold! Could this be something to do with the discolouration?
