Just thought you all should know there are some really good deals on eBay for solids right now. One seller in particular is auctioning off their entire collection it seems. With the prices of compacts going down, it seems like a good time to expand my collection, especially now that I've finally got all of my holiday shopping done!
Yes, the low prices are good… but bad in the way that it brings our values way down… I am adding pieces I don't have… I have since 2005 to catch up!
Happy Hunting!
Yeah it's not so good for the value of our collections. But I guess if we've already invested that much into our compacts, it makes sense to get some more now while they're cheap and hope the entire collection rebounds in value. Good luck to you as well! I think I have my eye on a Strongwater solid!
There seems to be a couple of new sellers who are paying high prices for some of the solids though. However, the Bear didn't seem to interest them.
I think eBay buyers like to have auctions that start lower. Sometimes when the sellers do that, the interest is high and therefore good prices can be achieved.
Most people hedge at high starting prices. They like to see the interest first.
I was really surprised to see a MIB 2001 Harrods bear (Rodney) go on Ebay yesterday for what I thought was a low price considering the demand for him.
The seller had all Harrods bears from 2001 – 2005 for sale at a reasonable starting price and they each only had a few bidders . . . actually, one had none.
I thought it was a real shame, but lucky for those who were able to win one.
IHAVE SOME GREAT COMPACTS ON AMAZON THAT ARE EMPTY BUT VERY HARD TO FIND. CHECK THEM OUT AT BARGINSRUS2010 ON AMAZON
Er, we still don't know who you are or how you acquired these empties, so once again, I ask you to kindly introduce yourself so that the members on this site my know who they are buying from and the quality of your goods.
Really, you shouldn't come on this site for free advertising for stuff you want to sell. There is no protection or insurance from hawkers and fraudsters on this site.
(Not saying that you are fraudulent, but that's why its a rule here that we 'know' more about the person/people we are buying from).
Thanks
