Hello everyone,
The other day I was cleaning up my solids… with a Q-tip I clean along the rim of where the perfume sits.. some have a thick black buildup that isn't the perfume… I don't touch the perfume part…
EWWW…
While cleaning I found the nastiest looking solid I have ever come across… The Tophat… it had shades of blue and green.. the perfume was quite green… I've never come across one this bad…
I also noticed the Saks shopping bag was also bad?
Have you come across any bad ones?
Hi Lisa
I have a mouldy princess pump 🙁
I tried to take off as much of the mould as I could, but as I didn't want to lose all the perfume I have had to leave some in.

I noticed also mold around my magnet on my Taj Mahal… it was just on the magnet part?!?!
Something else interesting… is the black lettering that came off of the 2004 Classic Cameo necklace:
Yep, I too have seen the black around the rim of some of my solids, not too many though.
Also, on one of my solids I noticed the black lettering came off in a similar manner to yours,
I haven't opened up too many to look at the condition of them all though.
It is disappointing when you find them deteriorating like this 🙁
I had better do a Spring clean! Not noticed anything like this but will report back if I do!
I have also found some of my solids have black around the rim. I use a q-tip with a little bit of alcohol to clean it.
Ooooo… that's a good tip to use alcohol LovePerfume!
I still think that the deterioration of the perfume depends a lot on the weather conditions where you live.
I have checked on mine and the only one that has a little green around the perfume is the Top Hat.
Margaret …… 🙂
