Need some help here…there's a lovely pale pink cat on eBay…the “Cat's Meow.” However, it has yellow stones set in the collar. I have 2 of these little girls (they are girls…I turned them upside down and checked)…both have pink crystals.

Obvious question…was there another one made with different colored stones, or are my pink ones correct? /blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ />

Here's the link to the auction:

Cat's Meow with Yellow Stones on eBay???

Will hopefully have an answer from someone by this evening! /smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

    Hi,

I always thought mine were pink untill I took the little darling outside.
The collar stones are gold and the bow stones are pink. Never noticed!!

The lightning makes all the difference. Inside they are pink , outside they are gold.

If you look on page 97 ( Gerson) you can see gold stones on the collar.

One of the good things about this board- We have started looking closely at our solids. Kinda like having new ones we had never seen before. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

    Hi and welcome <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ /> !
My kitty has only pink rhinestones for collar and bow.

    Hi Michaela,

Mine appeared to have all pink ones also until I took it outside.
We took a photo of the cat outside and included a close up of the same photo.

The lighting changes the pink stones to gold depending on where you are and how you are looking at it, artifical light or sunlight . The stone on the top of the collar looks different from the rest in the photo but it is the same.

Another possibility is that they ran out of pink and used gold. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />
There are many variations of color on the cat itself fron very pale almost white to very dark pink.

    Or maybe the gold stones are a rare prototype and I have one!!!! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

    Hi Ann –

Sorry I made you go to all that trouble, but I do appreciate it. I'd take mine out but it's pouring rain mixed with snow and sleet, so will have to wait for a clear day. Otherwise, the stones on mine are a brilliant pink under every light in the house! <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ /> Can't wait for the sun to see what happens when I take her outside.

Michaela – did you take yours outside yet? What happened?

    Again, thank you! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Just checked and my stones are all pink, even outside.

<img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> By accident I dropped my cat's meow while checking and his little head popped off <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ /> Not to worry because with a little jewelers cement he is good as new and you cannot tell the difference. It made me think that this may explain why some of the heads on the cats are lighter- being that they are not connected as a whole to the rest of the body.

OMG Lisa! Her little head popped off? Can you see where it's re-attached? Are they really put together as 2 separate pieces?

Took mine outside, too. No sun, but it wasn't raining or snowing either, and the crystals are still pink. Will wait until Friday ~ the sun is supposed to peek out then. I'll probably have to be quick…with this weather, you never know what's going to happen next.

I feel like we're living in a new hemisphere. Is this England? Or perhaps I'm at the Castle? Why is it cold and damp? It's spring…and today I saw my first Robin….he was wearing a little sweater. Very sad. <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />

    It's also a full moon and I'm a little batty, so excuse me. Hey…a new solid! A Bat! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

    Think I need sleep…'nite all…

    Michele,

No, you cannot see evidence of the head falling off, the re-attchment surgery was sucessful! <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

It does look like the cat's were made in two seperate pieces because the head was a male to female (the body) connection. Wish I thought to take a photo but then I would have evidence to the crime!! LOL <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

OMG again!! <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ /> Ok…so, either someone was asleep at the drawing board or…someone missed Anatomy 101 in school or…our kitty didn't want to be what it started out as. <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ /> This is a not a “Need to Know” dilemma…we'll just leave it as it is. Sorry you had to see that! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

    Glad the surgery was successful! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Hi Michele, like the sound of a bat. With lots of black stones like the top hat and orange stones for eyes. Followed by a big orange pumpkin (course they did do the Cinderella's Coach) there could be a Halloween theme for sure. I think Casper the Friendly Ghost would make a mean powder compact don't you?????

    Lisa – Your cat's head fell off?? That must've upset you at first!! I guess you're lucky that it didn't shatter! Now that would've been hard to put together without seeing the cracks!! <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <!–emo&<_<img src='style_emoticons//dry.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’dry.gif’ />

    I guess you could have sold it on Ebay as two separate pieces and made a fortune . . . . or maybe now you could still get away with advertising it “AS NEW” <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

Nancy – Halloween solids sound fun!! Hope it happens! A witch on a broom would be great! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Someone ( shall remain nameless)pointed out to me that must be why on some of the cats the body is sometimes a different shade of color than the head.

    Makes perfect sense now. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

    Thanks Lisa for solving this age old question. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

So now I want to take a photo and let everyone see the seperated head from the body and I tried to pull the head off <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ /> It wouldn't budge (I pulled and wiggled it really hard) In the meantime I dropped another solid- my Dachshund- no damage on that one. Phew <img src='style_emoticons//rolleyes.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’rolleyes.gif’ />

    The moral to this story- have carpeting under your solids case!! LOL <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

Now we are all going to be tugging at our kitties.

    Thanks a lot Lisa. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

We have a purebred calico persian kitty that is very hard to look at so I have started calling her RARE PROTOTYPE and she is very proud now and thinks she has won the show( she is an ex-showcat).
