pssst…correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a felony?  Could we try something like a loud voice saying “Free perfume in the Parking Lot?”  (Is there a parking lot?)  <img src='style_emoticons//huh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’huh.gif’ />

OOPs. Your right. There is a huge parking lot about the size of a football field or more. But free stuff … wouldnt the workers know something is up, and wouldnt security be on their toes? Humm

Will have to sleep on it and get back tomorrow or Monday. Maybe someone else (Sandra, Jacky, Margaret, where did Katita go???….any other members) can come up with a plan. (Actually, forgot what we're planning…will have to go back and read when I can think better.)

Well, another plan is a suspected Gas Leak!

And, that would be Dragon's fault!

“I have an idea” said Lola, “Let's all retire to that restaurant across the road and discuss this problem of how to get our friend Dragon into the warehouse sale, being the sensible adults that we are, we should be able to come up with some sort of a solution.”……( The little mouse had a quick snigger when Lola said the word sensible )

“The best idea yet” agreed Bob, as he pushed open the restaurant door causing all the other diners to leave in a hurry when they saw the rather odd looking party enter complete with Dragon and mouse.

Taking their seats the party began to look at the menu.

“The biggest steak in the house for me” requested Bob, to a very nervous waiter who was trying to keep one eye on the little Dragon and steady his shaking hands at the same time.

After looking at the menu for a long time the Dragon gave a sigh of pleasure, wiping his tail across his mouth, he looked at the waiter. “Mussels in cream and garlic sauce with extra garlic, it helps the fire you know,” he added……The poor waiter looked a sickly shade of grey.

“Now down to business” exclaimed Bob “How are we going to get the Dragon into this sale?”

For a while they all just sat and looked at one another, nobody seemed to have an answer.

The Dragon smacked his lips together as he mopped up the last of his garlic sauce with a piece of bread……a secret smile apeared on his face……. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

“You are all forgetting one thing” he reminded them……. “My official title is THE MAGIC DRAGON, I can turn into anything you want or I can even be a solid again, now does that solve your problem?”

“By jingo!” shouted Bob, if we wanted we could make him a small solid again and I could pop him into my top pocket and no one would ever see him……what do you think of that, everyone?”

Not a lot, the little mouse thought…… the gas was bad enough but to have to share his pocket with a garlic eating Dragon was going a bit to far.

Over cups of Cafe and Tea and some Cherry Pie, the little group continued to chat away excitedly discussing what the best idea should be for ''Magic Dragon'' or anyone else to enter the Warehouse. They were all of the opinion that the solids should be scooped up and taken away so that no more copies could be made from this particular source.

But how to do this? The question still arose as to how Dragon should be disguised. Perhaps as a visitor from overseas? Perhaps as a smaller solid secretly hidden in Big Bob's shirt pocket (much to the annoyance of Mouse)..

Or …………..could he enter as someone and then with Magic, transform himself into someone else whilst actually in the Warehouse. There must be rest rooms
and once inside, no-one would notice his transformation. So a double transformation could actually take place if necessary. That would not be difficult if the going got tough..

The others listened to this next proposition seeing so many possibilities which they had overlooked previously. ''Wow!'' Jack exclaimed, ''All these Magical qualities and with Michaela watching over Dragon , this has to work!''

Meanwhile in the far corner of the Cafe two Spooky People from the Spooky Forest sat quietly trying with all their might to hear the conversations that were taking place. Fortunately for the others, they were not picking up on everything and
as such would hopefully remain in the dark as to all the plans now being suggested for the Warehouse Sale!

As the two spooky people strained to hear the conversation across the room, they were having their own conversation. They were discussing their trip to the warehouse sale.

Yup you heard it right …. they had tickets to the sale. They were sent their by their leader (who wasn't in the spooky forest at the time of its destruction) to see if there were really that many people grabbing up solids at these sales.

You see …. they knew that more of the copies of solids were getting out from the manufacturing companies than were getting out at the sales. These sales were at the warehouses that hold the solids after they are produced. There was no production at these warehouses.

The spooky leader had his people working in the factories, they were copying the molds and taking crystals and enamel paints. Then they would make their own fake solids to pass off. They also had friends in security that would take the solids as they came off the production belt a few at a time. He had already found a number of workers from these factories that had taken items to sell for them selves.

Hopefully Bob;s group would stop the cheap sales from the warehouses. But then would they be able to stop the real culprits?

Perhaps the spooky people will trade sides and work with Bob's group ……. we will have to wait and see.

'Well Dragon'' Bob began, ''seeing as you are now the Magic Dragon there shouldn't be any problem in your producing some magical tickets!'' ''Lola was now nearly jumping off her chair in excitement. ''Why didn't we think of that also'' she laughed nearly doing a high kick in the process. ''Sssssssh….ssssssssh…..'' Big Bob motioned to her, ''gotta be a little quiet here Lola. Gotta be careful we don't let the cat out of the bag!'' Mouse did a double twitch inside Big Bob's shirt pocket.

''Voila!'' Dragon exclaimed, huffing and puffing as he pulled out a large gold envelope from under his tail. ''Voila'' he exclaimed again, handing the envelope to Big Bob.

The others looked on in silence as Big Bob passed the contents of the envelope to each of them. Slowly they took in the wording inviting two people to attend the Sale of the Solids and other perfume items on the 29th September.

''Well done'' Jack exclaimed, patting Dragon on the back. ''Now that we have the invitation, all that is left is for you to transform yourself into a Palace Guard and one of us to accompany you as a Beefeater! All we have to say is that we are buying up loads of solids to take back to England for the Harrods Palace.
I'm sure they would appreciate that Camellia would be delighted to receive such a splendid array of solids encrusted in Swarovski Crystals and an Ivory Collection too''.

Everyone nodded in agreement. This was the plan and soon it would be put into action!

**This description will be as accurate as possible of the real sales**

September 29th was here (Im a bit early but use your imagination) ……..

The Bob stationed Jack at the far end of the large parking lot with a bull horn. He would announce the gas leak once they were all safely inside.

Bob, Lola, Freddy, Magic Dragon (disguised of course) and mouse were on the long line that was waiting for the opening of the sale. The line began to move slowly as the security team checked ID's and tickets. Each guest was stopped at a desk upon entering to show ID and sign their ticket.

When Bob and Lola reached the desk they were nervous. They were afraid that the tickets wouldn't get them in since they were magic tickets created by Dragon. As they handed over their ID's they looked at each other and held their breath for a moment. The guards accepted the tickets and Lola sighed with relief.

After passing the check point, they reached a roped off area where each of the group was handed a piece of rope tied to a cardboard box. This was to be their shopping cart. People were working their way up and down the isles pulling their boxes behind them.

There were large square mesh metal bins lined up next to each other forming the isle. In each bin were lots of a certain item at discounted prices. The first one held “pleasures” gift sets, the second had bottles of White Linen perfume, the third, cosmetic bags; and so on. There was a small table in the middle of the isle where a woman sat and on this table were various items such as MAC makeup brushes, single lipsticks, eye shadows and small items.

Just to look on the up and up Lola put a few items into her box. Bob was looking around trying to locate where the solids might be. He saw hundreds of cardboard boxes on shelves that were as tall as the ceilings which seemed to be 20 ft high. There were the cases of EL items waiting to be shipped to store locations.

It was Freddy that reached the end of the isle first. “Lola, Lola!!” he shouted. “Wouldn't your mum love one of these for her birthday?” Lola looked over and saw the small table at the end of the isle.

Strewn about on the table were about 2 dozen solid compacts. It made Lola sad to see how they were just tossed on the table. A few people were there picking up the solids and inspecting them. Lola went over and Freddy handed her a Harrods Bear. Lola looked the bear over and saw that it was empty with slight residue of the perfume left, like someone had scraped it out. There was no label on the bottom either but the compact itself was in perfect shape.

She asked the worker standing at the table “What used to be in here?” The worker explained that these were overstock solid perfume compacts and company wanted to get rid of them. The workers scrape out the perfume, take the labels off and throw the boxes in the garbage before putting them on the table for sale.

Lola and Bob were surprised. The also noticed small white stickers with the price of $25 on the bear. They couldn't believe their eyes.

They saw a few of the other usually high priced compacts on the table as well as some of the more common ones and some powder ones which were priced between $5 and $15 each.

Dragon thought it was about time to put their plan into action. He whispered to mouse to run out and tell Jack to make the announcement.

“ATTENTION! ATTENTION! A GAS LEAK HAS JUST BEEN REPORTED! PLEASE EVACUATE THE BUILDING!” …………………

    <img src='style_emoticons//cool.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’cool.gif’ /> LOVED your description of the sale – it IS just like being there – I can see it in my mind right now . . . and wish I had been to one too ! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

    Seems like a right waste, doesn't it? <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />

If they just cut down on the production or sold them for slightly less, then I'm sure they wouldn't have to sell them so cheaply at these Warehouse sales.

Apparently at the EL Warehouse Sales over here (no, I haven't been to one, but my cousin did) they were still MIB but 'only' 50% off. Still, it was a big saving, but only if you were paying the hugely inflated prices that they charged in the first place . . . ie the ' US$200.00 Locomotive' sold here for about AUD$600.00 or so (from memory – maybe more), and at the sale it was AUD$300.00.

Even if you took the exchange rate and shipping into account, it was equal to or slightly more than what it sold for retail in the US. Still, they managed to sell them for that price, so in the end, there was no loss, just not as much gain.

If EL in the US would do that, then we wouldn't be having this problem, would we?

Sorry for the rant, but obviously the frustration, anger and disappointment is coming back all over again. Boo Hoo ! <img src='style_emoticons//mad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’mad.gif’ />
