Hey – now all the solids have been released and chatted about, anyone changed their minds? . . . . can anyone remember what they voted? <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

I voted Jay Strongwater and the shimmering sphere (love the simplicity of this one) but I also love the Harrods lion (fantastic solid) and teddy but cannot vote the whole Harrods group because the post box didn't really do it for me. <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />

    I have no memory of which I voted for…thought it was the Bustier and the Lighthouse… <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ /> The mind is a terrible thing to waste…or lose… <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

hi, I am the only one voted for the Judith Leiber solids.

Aside from the price, It is the best in design and quality. I was so impressed when I look at them in person and holding it in my hand. I usually examine the quality before purchasing a solid. I am impressed that all the Judith Leiber pass my check. It is unlike the Jay Strongwater, I rejected some many before setting my eye for one. The Lily bouquet is tillted to one side, the birdbath is not straight etc. I like the design but disappointed with the quality.

This is just my opinion, I hope you guys will not get angry.

I like the Leiber solids also. I voted for Harrods because that's my favorite group overall….and it took more work to acquire them. Strongwater is a very close 2nd.

We voted for Jays' designs this year although we liked the Leiber solids more than most of you did. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

I voted for the Harrods this year. On seeing the JStrongwater solids close up, I was not as impressed as with the photographs. The Lion/Crown is stunning and the Post Box (which I did not like from the pix) was quite different when I actually saw it first hand. The Teddy is also very cute. Yes, I loved the Bustier (which I have). The Judith Leiber I found very disappointing. As a group, the Harrods Solids had to come out tops for me and were far superior to those from the previous year, of which I only purchased the Bear.

Don & Margaret…Perfumememory…I loved the Leiber solids…very Blingy…also very pricey but worth it.

One down side of this site (and I don't want to get anyone angry here) is that if someone (or two or three) say they dislike a solid or even despise it, the other members immediately shy away from purchasing it. I don't believe solidperfume.com is meant to decide which solids you want…that's an entirely personal decision you have to make on your own. And if no one else likes it but you do…that's ok…it's your collection and your choice. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Then again, possibly it proves how much influence this site has on purchasing solids…or not purchasing them?

I voted for Harrods, but liked all of the solids last year, except I was a little disappointed with the GD. Once I saw the Leiber solids, fell in love with them and would have purchased the entire collection if they had not been so expensive. My favorite solid for 2004 was the endearing Thomas the Bear. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Exactly! It is really interesting to see how different we all are in what we like. But one thing is for sure, I would like a Princess ……..well many of us anyway!

I remember when I found the Ginger Jewel. Somehow it did nothing for me, so I sold it. Now, perhaps, because it is not that easily found, I may have kept it.

We all change our minds at times!!!!!!!!!

    Michele,

If someone likes something I think they purchase it regardless of what anyone else thinks, I know that is the case with me and I am sure many other members.

    Lisa –

    You're probably right….I know there is more than one I've bought and then thought…”What was I thinking?”….it had nothing to do with solidperfume.com! <img src='style_emoticons//ohmy.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ohmy.gif’ /> Totally my choice…

I'm surprised that LV/NY exclusive group, which I voted for, is not so much favored. I like them because they are all designed in detail. Or is that because of the 'dalmatian'(Red Barn), which makes the score of this group low…?? <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

I also love Harrods ones. But since many of you have already voted for it, I decided to pick up LV/NY group.

    Hard to decide anyway. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Awwww, Erica…you voted for the “Underdog”…the Dalmatian. <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> Actually, the Red Barn and the Flower Cart were also 2 of my favorites…I think there were so many nice ones, it's still hard to say which was/were the best! You have excellent taste…and yes, both the Barn and the Cart were extremely detailed. Love them both!
