On bay there is a compact listed as a solid, blue enamel circles. It is round, has a mirror, and looks like the matching powder to the Boutique Oval solid. Does anyone here know if it is really a solid? I don't plan to bid on it but was wondering if there was a solid like this one. Ebay no. is 6626772020.

On page 34 in the Gerson book is a photo of “Boutique Oval” — the first solid compact by EL. It does not show the interior and does not mention a mirror. Hope that helps. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

It's the companion powder compact without any powder left in it that's for sale on Ebay. I have both of them – the solid and the matching powder compact. The best way to tell is if it has a mirror, chances are it's a powder. Most of the solid perfumes have no mirror in them.

    Hope this helps….. <img src='style_emoticons//biggrin.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’biggrin.gif’ />

Thanks for the replies. I agree with you Katita, I have never seen an EL solid that had a mirror. It seemed to me that this had to be the powder match to the Boutique Oval. I think Ann Clark had posted pictures of matches quite a while ago and included this one.
