    Good Afternoon All!

Does anyone have information on when the 2011 Holiday solids will be in the stores or what they will be?

Just curious as I haven't heard a whisper beyond the Fall releases… I hope that wasn't it? 🙁

Usually by now it seems like the stores have the brochures. Well drats… hopefully this doesn't mean there are none this year. Can't imagine!

Nordstrom has 2 holiday solids, both unimpressive. One is a gold coin with Youth Dew, the other is a gold heart on a red satin cord with Beautiful. No bling whatsoever this year, so I guess I'll be saving money…

I was just in the Saks in New Orleans. There was a confusing small display with two compants and some jeweled feathers. It was hard to tell if that was their solid offerings and powder compacts, or just a little display someone put together. Sorry I haven't got more info. Hi

Sandra! Dubai sounds very exotic for vacation.

Hi Peggy! Good to see you.

yes, exotic location on the Persian Gulf, but a quicker way over this side of the world. 14 hours from Sydney and then only 6.5 hours into London.

Have been through all the other connection cities in Asia and wanted time out by the seaside for some R&R. Certainly got that.

Would do it again when the finances allow. A bit pricey compared to Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok and Seoul which are the other cities to fly through.

Well we finally met after all the years writing on this site!

Have a wonderful trip home Sandra. Take care of yourself and stay in touch.

Anyone else coming this way? Sandra was a delight and am so pleased we finally spent time together. More later…….

😀 yes! It's true ! I had a tight, tight schedule that only allowed a small window of opportunity to meet up with my English writing pal met through this site.

Was quite a surreal moment. We just chatted like the old friends we are. 🙂

Jacky is quite the hostess and is very thoughtful. Had some laughs, she showed me part of her collection and let me take photos . . .

Just don't know why she got put off that I had a car (one doesn't drive in London, you know!), though I do think I impressed with my driving skills. 😛

Joking Jacky, joking, thanks for moving the traffic cone for me! 😎

Arrived home safely. Only a 24 hour journey.

    WHERE'S ZOOEY ?!?

    Hello Sandra,

It hasn't taken you long to get the wind back in your sails (and I am not talking about the Burj Al Arab) ……… 😛 will correct spelling later!

Glad you arrived home safely and it was fantastic to meet you at long, long last. Had you been about two weeks later, would have dragged you to the U.K IPBA Convention in Leicester. Next time? As long as you promise to take me to the Fat Duck or whatever the name is.

Re ZOOEY am sure we can hunt her down!

Re your bear, meant to tell you, or did I, to check at the Airport as Harrods at Heathrow might have been able to help…….

Tons of xxxxxx and COME BACK SOON! I NEED A CHAUFFEUR DRIVEN CAR…..AND YOU WERE THE BEST YET!!!!!!!

NEXT STORY, SANDRA BEARS ALL IN LONDON! 😆

Haha, that's a very funny title, Jacky! It just might work . . . 😛

Harrods at Heathrow? Didn't even think to check! I was at Terminal 5, way out from the other Terminals, and I can't remember seeing it as I strode toward the lounge for dinner . . . I thought you meant to just check at the VAT refund office. Nevermind, make it a 17 pound donation to Her Majesty's coffers . . . although I did do that when I visited her place in Windsor . . . Funny that she is visiting out here right now, having a right royal time too! Unfortunately she didn't have time this trip to schedule a visit to me . . . in fact, she left out Sydney altogether! How rude!

I did notice you pretended not to be able to find your keys so I would be trapped in your house long enough to attend the UK convention . . . lucky they were found before I got a parking fine . . . already got one of those in Windsor too . . . spent too long at the castle 😮

Well although the Fat Duck was a wonderful experience, it's not one I could really afford twice, let alone even get another reservation . . . it would have to be THE world's most difficult restaurant to book into! So unless I have the good fortune of winning lots of $$$, and get another chance reservation I'm afraid I can't promise that one. 🙁

BUT, what I can promise is to see you again someday somewhere in the world . . . Maybe we can meet in Zooey's neighborhood and freak her out! 😆
