    Hi everyone,

We received these two solids today and were pleasantly surprised with them. We both think they are really classy looking and are just the right size. /ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />

    Hello Don and Margaret,

I have seen these but obviously they are more expensive here in the U.K.

I agree with you re the above as I thought they were rather nice. The teapot
    very, very English????

Thank you for posting! Can you tell me (us) what the cost of these items were in the States??

    Many thanks! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

    Hi Jacky,
The general distribution solids cost $80 here in the states. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ /> A bargain in these times.

I can tell you that they are definitely not a bargain in Sweden <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ /> The Swedish price in US dollar is 225 <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ /> Are you still there or have you all fainted by the shock?
Last years general distribution solids were priced at 160 US dollar and they didn't sell well, so I guess they tried to solve that by increasing the price <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ />

Seems to us that with the exchange rate on dollars favoring the european members that you could buy here in the states over the phone, pay shipping costs and still come out way ahead. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

We buy from Donna at Bergdorff Goodman in New York. (under store locations tab here). She is one of the friendliest people we have ever dealt with and is super helpful to us. <img src='style_emoticons//wub.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wub.gif’ />

    In Singapore, the general distribution is selling at USD175 . <img src='style_emoticons//mad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’mad.gif’ />

We used to sell the same or cheaper then States a few years ago. So I had often helped buy some solid perfume for collectors in States. Now , the tide has turned. <img src='style_emoticons//tongue.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’tongue.gif’ />

Happy to chat with you all. All the best. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

    Don & Margaret,

We purchased the two shown from Donna at Bergdorf in NYC and also were thrilled by quality and
    price.

Many thanks to Don and Margaret for the pictures. Also congratulations to everyone and Tally and Marylou for your purchase of these solids. A couple of years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Donna in person in NYC at Bergdorf. You folks are right…she is nice, friendly, helpful, is very smart about solids, Estee Lauder products and cosmetics.

    Thanks for the compliment Gigi, <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Donna at Bergdorf is great and (we forgot to mention) except for New York and New Jersey all her sales are
    tax free to the US. <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ />

I just got the Jingle Bell and Glistening Snail. I love them both, particularly the snail. I think his quality is exceptonal. Lots of bling for a GD solid! Has anyone bought the Harp, and if so what do you think?
